You might try contacting Wes Taggart at Analogics. He's based in Ohio, and I believe he might read this message board from time to time. If you're more DIY minded, there are some ROM image files for the various OS versions (including V2) here: http://users.ece.gatech.edu/lanterma/obmx/ Good luck...

I haven't been able to find a manual or schematic. I'm looking for a schematic or service manual for the TOM. Does anyone have these as a PDF?

The page where it was uploaded in gone, but I think the files have been archived at: http://web.archive.org/web/20051227093417/http://www.ijot.com/prophecy/ I was able to access the (smaller file size) basic guide PDF. The parameter guide pdf looked like it wanted to download, but it said to try lat...

I've usually seen these go for ~$450-500. I think that is a fair price for one. With a case and in perfect condition, I could see paying maybe $550.

Reading this thread strengthens my already-formed opinion, which is to never get a DX7. :) Not sure if you're serious, but it's actually a great feature to have on any synth. Many analog synths use this feature to control filter cutoff from the lower to higher octaves. The DX7's version is an evolu...

My MM has a few buttons that don't work at all (switches need cleaning, but disassembly to do it is a real chore), one or two keys won't sound unless I press them very hard, and one voice ocassionally goes WAY out of tune. A good whack on the bottom of the synth usually will get it behaving again. A...

I'm running OS9 on my Mac with a Korg Oasys PCI soundcard/synth. I love it, but it's not compatible with newer Mac OS versions.

Re: waldorf microwave xt / xtk

-it seems everyone really likes this synth because of its uniqueness, which is what i'm looking for, but lots of times unique synths have a hard time fitting in the mix of a song, do you guys have any problems working it into and actual song? I can see how it could be a problem in some mixes. Many ...

Thanks for the info, madtheory. I really wish I could find my manual. I tried looking again last night, but no luck. When I'm setting loop points, I've been using the rotary knob, and arbitrarilay stopping and playing a note to see if the loop point worked. I'll have to try pressing the right or lef...

Oh, and is there a way to monitor the input live before actually forcing (recording) the sample? I'm using the ESI2000's headphone jack, so it's be nice not to have to plug things into a mixer for now.

Hmm... I wonder if it was a glitch? I powered everthing up again, and didn't have the problem I mentioned above. Some things that bother me so far about the ESI (I haven't gone very in-depth with it yet) - Filter parameters dealing with the frequency cutoff don't seem to respond as I think they shou...

ESI2000 sample/programming help

Welp, since reading the recent posts about the ESI 2000, I decided to pull mine out of storage to try my hand at sampling my modular. Something that I can't figure out (I've searched the manual) is that while trying to program the filter, the parameters keep changing when I press different keys on m...
