Re: Roland SH201 killed me

No i don't like the sound at all, it just doesn't inspire me and makes me lust for my old JP8000. I never judge an instrument by its name, im very honest in my opinion and im sorry if that makes me sound like a like some one joining in the argument so he can get laid. :) Sarcasm, my friend. Now put...

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

People. Listen to the naysayers. Weather you think so or not, YOU LIKE THIS SYNTH. You really do! Trust them. You simply dislike the NAME and are only joining in on this "I hate the sh-201" rant because you think it will get you laid. Now PLEASE, wake up and admit it. IT SOUNDS AWESOME! No i don't ...

I have to work with and promote an SH201 every week at college because we are a Roland Academy so get all thier modern gear. I hate the little f**k...everyone is so impressed with it but they clearly havent heard what a quallity Synth should sound like. I used to own 2 JP8000's and i honestly think ...

It's a great shame Alesis have no passion or interest in the Andromeda. It is the most amazing modern Analogue and i believe if it was made by a company with an analogue background, Moog or Dave Smith Instruments, it could have a huge impact on the music scene. It's such a shame and a great waste of...

Re: Check out my band's new song, it's full of Andromeda

Thanks. The film is about a man who is being punished by God for his sinfull ways. The line 'see my eyes they're painted red' means the devil is inside him and 'these crazy songs i ignore, bend my mind so i know more' is about the corruptive power of religion. The Joy Division influence comes from m...

The song is called 'Check Mate' and is the theme in a soundtrack we've made for a film. My Andy gets a real outing on this one, let me know what you think.

Not exactly a famous song, but im pretty sure you can hear the Tubular Bells preset very prominantly in the outro of 'The Landscape Is Changing' by Depeche Mode.

Re: My bands first 3 recordings

I used my Roland RD-700SX for all the strings. Like on the Famtom it boasts some really great string patches.

My bands first 3 recordings

My band has just completed thier debut EP after 3 months of studio time. We are called Gypsytoes and are a Depeche Mode influenced gloomy Alternative band (though this EP isn't too dark as its Christmas time :D ).
