MrFrodo - Of course i created the patches myself. The patches the previous owner had programmed were not too great so they are gone. I create every sound i use - even on modern synths.

Its all the CS-10's fault. I love how i can gig my CS-40M and not worry about it. It stays in tune and is very well behaved on stage. Its heavy but i don't care. :)

Thanks for the relpies. The reason i did not speak is because its my first video and i wanted to keep it simple. Yes i know the CS-40M like the back of my hand. That 'Being Boiled' patch is a unison sound, all the others are in duophonic mode. Know that i know the CS-40M, i do not want a JP-4. I fin...

The Prophet-600 would be better than a Jupiter-4 for live use. The JP-4 has a mind of its own and can be very temprimental when it wants to be. I will be gigging mine when i get one though because im crazy! :P
The P-600 is not as heavy and has 6 voices. It also has 100 memories.

The Delta sounds great but is a little limited. Its similar to the Lambda but is much more roadworthy.
Is it a VCO Polysynth you are after?

I think the CS-50 maybe a bit too unreliable for live use. Its fine once its set up but its a bit unstable. The thing weighs 36kg too so its rather heavy. But if you like the sound of it then its worth lugging about. My CS-40M weighs 32kg in its case and i still lugg it around. The CS-70M would be e...

Prophet 600
PolySix

So does my cat.
Anyway back to the question:
I think analogue does not matter too much to most people. But there are some fussy purists out there (like me) who love that vintage sound.

I think analogue synths have more character.
I suppose VA's have character too though.
