It's looks super cool. Release that tommorow and they'd shift thousands. I think that's probably the best casing mod I've ever seen.

fresh sounds.... I think it has to said that what a synthesizer is has become formalized to a great extent. I think most people have a basic understanding of what a synth is and how it sounds... kind of like they would a trumpet, piano or any other instrument. John Cage had a concert where the conce...

Anybody with an Arp 2600?

Hello... I would really like to get an impulse response from the Arp 2600's reverb tank. All you have to down is download THIS 24 second test tone and record it for about 48 seconds going through the reverb tank. It's important that you record for twice as long as the test tone. Go to the bottom of ...

The A-121 is a handy multimode filter... not too pricey. My A-151 sequential switch arrived today. I hooked up the outputs of the 121 and had much fun :)

I don't like/use presets. I think that even if you make a crappy patch at least it has character and doesn't sound like somebody elses and it doesn't have this professional lowest common denominator sheen. I find it quicker to patch from scratch :) Also synths tend to be the focus point and not the ...

innovative ???? hmmm I'm discounting Reaktor, Max & Csound and all the modular builders. They are innovative but not really softsynths. scannedsynth and ScanGL both because they use scanned synthesis which is new. Also ScanGL has a clever interface. massive and fm7 have innovative interfaces.. makes...

Max/Msp Vs Synthedit Isn't C-Sound a better comparison? Also, no-one's mentioned KarmaFX, which is pretty nice. Yes and no... CSound is text based... now that I think of it Pure Data is a much better example. Max/Msp Vs PD I really like all the free synths I mentioned... if I had to use them and th...

me again... :D I've a BassStation Rack, does basic MIDI - CV conversion. Can do V/oct or Hz/V, pos or neg trigger. Hasn't got any extra features like glide, or LFO like the Kenton, but it does the basic stuff fine. Also the range is only 5 octaves.. so you have to tune up and down the oscillators t...

aren't the manuals online for free download. I think so? If you don't want to splash the cash Mitch you could try PD first. PD was designed by Miller Puckette the same guy that originally made MAX. It's very very similar... and it's free! :D About what you can create... anything really. These days i...

The best free softsynths usually can not match the best paid softsynths. I'm thinking of things like: Paid Vs Free Max/Msp Vs Synthedit Massive Vs Crystal or maybe Intro by BK Synthlab FM8 Vs Vivaldi MX or MDA DX10 maybe? CSR Vs ambience reverb Altiverb Vs SIR reverb Sonalksis compressor - Kjaerhus ...

bearing in mind that midi cc messages only go from 0 - 127 so can only have 128 specific values when controlling any parameter?
