I actually didn't really like the MS-20 waves.
I've always been interested in its filter and other oddities, but for some reason I found myself liking all the 2600's waves the most.

It's all about the knobs. We're relatively stupid and don't like to dig through menus Besides, serial parameter tweaking is nowhere near as instantly rewarding as just twisting a bunch of knobs Look at all the old s**t, they couldn't make all complicated digital menus back then and had a knob for ev...

I'd try mixing your tracks live. That gives things a much cruder feel. As well as using not-quantitized patterns.

A Korg EA-1 is a perfect fx box. It has an awesome tempo sync'd Mod Delay, tempo sync'd flanger/chorus, decimator, ring mod, of course the resonant filters, and distortion.

Well, I bought an E-MU esi-4000 not realizing I'd need a sequencer to actually make any music. I soon realized this, sold it and got an EA-1.

Actually, I have heard that the delay is so small your brain doesn't register it. Sensing what direction a sound comes from has more to do with coloring by you ears' physical dynamics of oncoming sounds from various directions and consequent tonal difference between the two ears, but your brain regi...
