I've actually brought my battery-powered casio ht700 to several picnics. My friends love it, though as soon as they try to edit it for about 2 minutes they always get confused and give up.

my V synth is slowly replacing my Fizmo. Should I keep the Fizmo and wait until it becomes a 1200 USD collectors item? perhaps, but what if the world blows up next week and I am stuck fighing off mutated zombies with a fizmo instead of cold hard cash? then what? I thought I followed your logic for ...

If atm you can afford to hold onto the fizmo while buying the ti, you should wait til you get it then see whether or not you think it's redundant. I'd hold onto the fizmo forever just because it's rare and its value looks to be going nowhere but up.

Wow, I just listened to the samples and it really does sound pretty groovy. A bit less round than an 808, but imo that's a kinda good thing. So what was the actual price you paid?

Re: ESX sequencing + K-Station transposing?

Looked in both manuals and I can't find the answer so here goes. I make a bassline on the ESX. When I hook up the ESX to the K-station to play it back, it's 2 octaves too LOW on the K-Station. I don't want to have to transpose up 2 octaves on the ESX because then that messes up the other keyboard p...

If I were you, I'd just buy random s**t used, see if it worked for me and if not, sell it back. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the whole point of the "Buyer's Guide" was to provide a place for people to get recommendations from more experienced users in order to narrow their se...

If I were you, I'd just buy random s**t used, see if it worked for me and if not, sell it back. Doing this will give you a much better idea of what you want, what you like and dislike.

My casio ht700 is the only piece of gear I own that I'd never sell. It's a hybrid synth with pcm sample-based oscillators and an analog resonant filter. It's fully editable, with both amp and filter asdr envelopes. It has a pretty sweet chorus too, imo. I've never recorded with it but i can play it ...

The tweaking is tasteful, but I don't really like the melody on the second.
