I waste a lot.
Nova- Everything
Kawai K4- Controller
E-MU XL-7- Sequencer
Casio ht700- Fun

Btw, braincandy, have you upgraded to OS 4.0 on the Nova? It'd almost insane how much it adds (new filter models, features, a few more voices of polyphony, ..etc.).

The EA-1 would be okay if it had velocity or accents. But it doesn't. If you're cool with that, it might be a good option, but I'm most definitely not. didn't you own an EA-1? like twice? was the accent thing what killed it for you? i must admit, my lack of interest in velocity sensitivity, after t...

Re: Need some feedback on Kawai

I'm going to correct you since in the past someone corrected me about this when I complained about my ea-1 doing the same: a clicking filter on sharp attack is not a bug but a feature. Not in this case, if I understand correctly. Go to Sealed's K4 page I linked to above and listen to the 'filter mi...

Honestly though, the obvious solution is to buy a really cheap synth or controller to keep just to the right of your main synth solely for use of the mod/pitch bend section and run the midi data from the wheels to the main controller/synth.

If, on normal speakers, you applied an equalizer setting equivalent to the inversion of their normal frequency response curve, would this not be as acceptable as studio monitors for mixing?

The K4 actually has seven levels of resonance. it can get pretty mad with that in a fuzzy digital way.
