Re: Studio Electronics ATC-1

There has been ATC-1 discussion here in the past. As noted, they seem to be gone now. So, feel free to chat all you like about them here in this thread...

Re: roland dbs/csq sync

thanks, yeah I looked at the manual, but that didn't seem to say anything about the cables. Well, the manual does not *say* what types of cables to use, but it does *show* images of unbalanced (TS) plugs. A look at the back of the Juno will tell you that they must be 1/4". A peek at the back of you...

Re: roland dbs/csq sync

It's really difficult to fit a 1/4" plug into the DCB port.

Yes, the other jacks use 1/4" plugs.

Have you read the manual? Page 21?

Hey, Micke. I recall a TV interview with Bronski Beat, when "Hit That Perfect Beat" was released. In the interview, they mentioned using PPG gear. The interviewer made a big deal about the gear, because he had never seen anything like it. I was not knowledgeable about synths back then, but, if memor...

I have gear formerly owned by Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, several film composers, several sound designers/foleys, the keyboardist for Julio Iglesias, and the personal units of several synth designers. WD P.S. This topic pops up about twice per year. Looks like the last thread finally dropped off ...

Good to hear that you have things working out. Mind sharing what the problem(s) and solution(s) are? A lot of old analogues have some noise. I don't know how loud yours is. Mine has a very slight amount, which can be extracted with either hardware or software noise gates. As for recording, I run min...

Alas, it looks like you have a broken MS20. Sorry. I've tried it on my MS20. Although the sound is different than the VST, which I tried earlier, the behaviour is the same. No droning; immediate attack and release. I am no tech and therefore cannot really troubleshoot your problem. Max HOLD TIME and...

I don't have my MS20 available at the moment; thus, I cannot try the patch. But, from looking at it--assuming that I am reading the knobs correctly--there is nothing indicating that a note should be triggered or that it should be droning. I've tried the patch on my MS20 VST, which happens to be on m...
