Re: Have Arturia kinda missed their chance with the Minibrut

a number of people have reported key weights coming loose and falling out during shipping, a few have had a connecting cable dislodged as well, both of which should be easy fixes if you experience them. any issues with how the synth itself functions seem to have been immediately noticeable, have yet...

Re: Synth Deflation?

agree with AG, a number of people who own or have experience with the original MS-20 and have had the opportunity to play the mini at NAMM have stated it nails the original's sound. a couple have said it sounds a bit brighter, which will probably be enough for a few to skip the cost savings of the m...

Re: Korg Mini MS-20

I've been REALLY tempted to place a pre-order but then my usual preference for things like this is to pick it up at a physical store. I have a street address and live on a busy highway and there's just too much of a chance it could walk off if left on the doorstep. I'll just have to wait, and probab...

Re: New Korgs

between this and the Sub Phatty and the Minibrute I already own I'm envisioning having a pretty nice little monosynth collection by the end of the year. :D although there already seems to be speculation by some that the MS-20 reissue may have a non-functional patchbay, which would be about the most ...

my thoughts exactly, lol... owned a Juno 60 about a dozen years ago, one of my first synths actually, but even then I just always found it to be too limiting.

Re: What synth have you bought more than once?

Nord Micro Modular twice, eventually went with the Nord Modular keys which I still have (though having the Micro was nice for live sets). DSI Evolver desktop x 2, both sold. Waldorf Microwave XT x 2, both sold, ended up with a Blofeld. MicroKorg x 2, both sold. Korg Radias x 2 , actually had both at...

Re: Which Korg?

exactly what kind of effects are you looking for anyway? all you would get out of running through a Monotron is the filter, the delay effect on the Monotron Delay, but personally think it's still kind of noisy and a bit c**p. if you're willing to spend the money on even a used Microkorg I'd suggest ...

so apparently the delivery of the second batch of Minibrutes has been pushed back yet again to the first week in November. could be a planned move to coincide with the holiday shopping season, OR...

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

after playing around with the MB some more found setting keyboard tracking to the "off" position took care of the problem. not quite what I was expecting but I'll assume it's normal operation until I find out otherwise.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth

interesting, I have the same thing going on with my Minibrute when applying LFO to the amp, though not as severe. I've no idea if that's the way it's supposed to function on this synth or not, though it did strike me as odd when I first noticed it. maybe other owners can chime in with their observat...

Re: Mooghead on the Minibrute

thanks for sharing that fun little song. how are you liking the Minibrute so far, being the admitted Moog snob you are? picked mine up earlier this week and just now having a proper go at it, my first real analog since unloading a Juno 60 several years ago. definitely loving it, has me thinking of p...

it's universally known we here in the U.S. are a bunch of impatient twats, so really Aurtia's strategy just makes good business sense. ;)
