"Strangest thing you ever found inside a synth"

My shaft. I mean, the first time I was replacing sliders on an Oddy and dripped my silver solder on a fresh wicked hole I thought to myself "it's strange to have my primitive technique at the helm of this hot rod." I was in college.

Re: Nord vs Alesis????

Can't really get into Clavia stuff. Way overpriced for what it actually is. The Nord Modulars, original Lead and 2X are great machines; incredibly intuitive (I learned synthesis on the original Nord Lead thanks to this forum.) I'm really not sure why they are heading in the direction of cutting fea...

Re: Nord vs Alesis????

Back in 2005, I had the option between a Nordlead 2x and Alesis Ion (both new). I went with the Ion just for the sheer feature overload in comparison. No faith in Alesis. Euro crafted gear is the way to go. The EU has become the 1980's US. All US manufacturers seem to care about is software and cra...

Re: Korg to release ARP Odyssey

Had an Ob-1 for a short while; might work well for you "purists" needing patch memory on a mono. Jokes aside, great synth. Let's see how many more pages we can breach on the subject.

New track from The Horrors. "I See You"

Consistently good output from these guys. I know Tom has posted here before; keep up the great work.

Roland clones NI's Maschine with strictly 808 and 909 samples, I'm calling it.

Re: NAMM 2014 thread of broken dreams

I just want a 64+ step cv/midi sequencer that I can program rests/holds and accents with, using the keyboard on whatever synthesizer I'm working with, as a module. If the microbrute could program holds and accents it would be perfection...an extra oscillator and env might be nice too. It's called t...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?

Yeah a-a-ron ( Aaron. ) I'm not as technically inclined as say Automatic Gainsay, but I'm having a hard time recreating sounds off the mini in a good way. I'm not sure if the mixer or extra env settings on the oscillator section of the mini have anything to do with it, but this little guy sounds pur...
