Re: Atomo Labs Krakken

sounds like a single osc synth for $300?

I mean I would just rather probably get one of the MFOS synths on ebay prebuilt, with dual osc and a nice filter setup for $300. But hey it's pretty cool still, I mean the more people making analog synths the better.

Re: 909, 808, 303 - Worth it?

I personally think the 909 stomps the most and is more crucial for me than the 808 or 303, just something about the 909 kick and the other sounds that when used tastefully will always stay fresh and relevant.

No way in h**l does the xbase-09 or clone come close to the 909.

Re: SH2 prices

lol get something fatter than an sh2 out of a sh-101? first off the sh-101 is selling for nearly the same price these days... maybe you got yours when they were cheaper? No way can the weaker sounding single oscillator of the sh-101 sound fatter since you could do the same mod to an sh2 which has tw...

Re: SH2 prices

I'm sure you could, I'm asking $750 shipped for an sh2 right now and if you could sell both of those for that price you got a deal ;)

Re: Vintage samplers: dealing with memory limitations

I sample with my mpc-1000 then pitch it up a bit then sample that into my sp-1200 and tune it down. Sounds hella dirty! great for maximizing the 10 seconds of sample time...

Re: Studio Electronics SE-1

the original SE-1 is well worth the $600-750 they are selling for these days, but the SE-1 is well known to have the worst quantizing/stepping on the parameters especially the filter out of any analog synth ever made. even the X model isn't snappy at all compared to a good vintage synth or pure anal...

Re: Roland VP-330 Human Voice Filter

Dude just listening to like one second with the chorus on and I'm loving it. I have two rs-505 synths which use the same chorus if not better and yeah wow, this JH chorus really nails the sound pretty good!

Re: Saw a Roland Lucina in the flesh yesterday....

I think the ax-7 and ax-1 are way too big and bulky and i don't like the way they look. So the lucina could be cool with a new paint job? At least it will drive down keytar prices for awhile hopefully, the ax-7 has dropped half it's value in 1.5 years. I saw them selling often for $1300-1500 ...

Sesame Street Animation Competition, kids song in logic 9

So I entered into the sesame street animation competition on the aniboom website. I did a kids song about amphibians in Logic pro9 and animated the video in Flash. It would be incredibly awesome if you voted for me on aniboom! let me know what you think? http://www.aniboom.com/animation-video/439291...

Re: Elektron Octatrack

It looks awesome and like a perfect live tool, it's nice elektron really listened what everyone wanted. If only other companies would do that. So yeah I hate using computers and this looks great, there really aren't a lot options for midi synced sampler/sequencers. My number #1 worry is that is will...
