Re: Would you buy a CS80 if re-released?

Re. miniaturization: you mean like this CS-80 voice board (VCOs/VCFEGs/VCAs) from the designer of the MOTM CS-80 filter? http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix/6440_csr80_proto_sm_1.jpg Got my initial bare prototype boards for CSR-80 today. These are in the form factor of a crowbx as I have things...

Re: RRRRed ti2 display

Glad you had partial success with this funny experiment... I don't think a lighter red gel would be such a bad compromise.

Re: RRRRed ti2 display

Considering the relative high brightness of the white TI LCD, why not try a red gel first? All you have to do is unscrew the top clear plastic cover. Be sure to avoid getting dust in there while you're at it.

Re: diy synth kits?

http://www.elby-designs.com/contents/en-us/p737_ASM-2.html This one got my attention a few months ago. Very nice and big(6U),a little "expensive".But you will have fun building it,that's for sure. The ASM-2 is a mother of a build. Took me 400 hours to understand what features I wanted, plan the lay...

oldcrow is already on it: http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1314487&sid=70a587820d7e859e0b2ecc347d47a997 If there's anyone who could pull it off, it's him - considering he developed the MOTM-480 mkII CS-80 filter module. Re: Arp Omni repairs

I imagine ARP used something similar to Loctite. I guess it doesn't last 40 years ;)

Instead of Loctite I'll use bolts with nylon thread-locks with the new PSU.

Arp Omni repairs

Currently repairing an Arp Omni for a client. This Omni is in really, really rough visual shape with some strange button replacements. The power supply has a charred current-limiting resistor and the board is burnt. http://i58.tinypic.com/10z8chv.jpg I believe this happened because the psu screws we...

Re: Modular synths for the dancefloor

Nice feedback - much appreciated :)

It's a great feeling to build one's own instruments, make music with them AND also be able to use them to perform live all around the world. I don't bring out the big modular when I perform but instead bring smaller machines that I've built and modified.
