Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
I don't think that this Roland has a filter CV input. On the back I can read:
Output: Gate & CV
Input: Gate & CV
Ext audio in.

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
Cool. You saved €85 compared to a mark II new from Kenton. The only real advantages are more portamento options and sysex support. I've had a Pro Solo since they came out, it's superb. The SH2 has a portamento mode and I use it a few times, it actually does not belong to my music. For the sysex sup...

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
No, it's a 2nd hand mark 1. For around 100€ I think it is a good price for a nice midi/cv interface.madtheory wrote: You made the best choiceIs it a mark II?
They are two assembled medium quality cables.Yes, low quality will be fine. As long as it's not really low quality!
Thank you.

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
I have just bought a Kenton pro solo. I have two questions:
1-Should I use 2 mono audio cables to send cv and gate signals to the sh2?
2-May I buy two "low quality" cables?

I like them, now I could say that there is a good mainstream in Norway.

Re: Depeche Mode Cover: Any Second Now
A wonderful cover!
There is only a thing I have to say: I have noticed that the last D in the arpeggio should be one octave lower to my ears, not so important.

Impressive, hope to hear it finished! Something makes me think that there is the influence of Takeshi Kitano's "Sonatine", for example the music/images at 9:46 HERE...

Re: Chordmemories Has A Job
I think this would be a problem for me. I am looking to make thick and nasty bass, and I would want to detune oscillators against each other. I missed that part: oscillators in promars have same range and waveform but there are 2 "good looking" knobs for detuning each oscillator, while the Sh2 has ...

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
Thank you.
For this reason I think I have to temporarily discard the idea to buy a csq sequencer, an interface would be better for my working method.

Re: Chordmemories Has A Job
I think I am holding off on making a controller purchase until I can play with the new Novations a bit. Until then, I want to solicit some opinions on monosynths under $1000. I am 90% convinced on an SH-2, but I was wondering what people thought of them compared to the ProMars, Pro-One and CS-30. T...

Thank you, the Philip Rees was very cheap but it was discontinued, I have to decide.
Other opinions are welcome, expecially for the CSQ sequencer which I still don't know.

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
Yes, in fact the kenton has so many features that I won't use. The only thing I need is to memorize calibration (something about tune, if I understood), in order to avoid problems, is it possible with the Philip Rees and Groove Electronics Mcvs? Thanks.

Re: Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
Thanks, but this would require both software and hardware and it is the most expensive solution.

Midi/CV interface or CSQ sequencer?
Hi, I have need to record some sequences and tracks using my Roland Sh2. I could: 1-Buy a midi/CV interface which memorizes the settings, such as a Kenton Pro Solo (or other models with the same feature, if you know please tell me). They are quite expensive. 2-Buy a CSQ sequencer, which should be ch...
