Re: Do I need a power converter- for Japanese synths in the US?

Hi, this is the problem that I'm trying to solve in the last two weeks. I have a japanese Roland SH2, I use a 220->110 power converter to play it, easy to find here and really cheap. I measured the tension in order to assure myself that I would have 110V on out, that's the first thing I did. 110V is...

Re: Roland SH2 patch sheet?

Ok, I have found a good one which was edited for showing a patch, then I have reset it by using photoshop and shared. Not so good neither that bad now. Here is the LINK , hope it would be useful! And HERE it is the multi patch sheet version (8 patches), ready to be printed. Last of all I made a far ...

Re: Roland SH2 patch sheet?

It's just for aesthetic, the image is pixeled. I have to make a screenshot of a bad photocopied pdf, that page is itself quite twisted and not of the best quality. Of course it works.

Roland SH2 patch sheet?

Hi, I'm searching for a clean Roland SH-2 patch sheet.
I have found one in the pdf service manual, it is quite intuitive, I can't read any type, not really bad but ugly to print. Can you please let me know if you have one? Thank you very much.

Re: Converter for a japanese synth

The power supply here is 220V. But absolutely i don't want to take any risk, I don't know if there's a fuse inside. The problem is that I can't find a 100V convertor. I'm asking to the seller.

Converter for a japanese synth

Hi, I have bought a Roland sh2 from a guy here in europe: the synth have need of japanese voltage.
On the back of the synth I can read: AC100V, 50 Hz/60Hz, 10W.

I took THIS converter, I'm in Italy.
Is it the right choice? That "AC100V" written on the synth is quite strange for me. Thanks.

Re: Duran Duran In The Studio; ALL Analog!

I think so, but I can see many 2006 and 2007 threads, this means that only a part of them is lost. :?

Re: Duran Duran In The Studio; ALL Analog!

I'm not sure, but I remember a thread about Duran Duran's gear used in the past albums and I can't find it: can you help me? Also an external link would be helpful.

Re: SH vs JP4

Thank you again.
Last question: is the jp4's chorus just an on/off effect or it can be set?

SH vs JP4

Hi, I would like to get that typical jupiter 4 lead sound into my music, but it's quite difficult to find one without problems and it's also quite expensive for me. So I thought at its nearest brothers, the SH family: I have listened to model 1, 2, 09 and 101 and they all sounds raw and sometimes mo...

Re: Found a cheap jupiter 4 (3 voices working)

Ok, this unreliability could be a reason why their price is quite low, thanks for the advice.

Re: Found a cheap jupiter 4 (3 voices working)

So they're fragile. #-o

The strange things are: is it possible that a screwed voice card can move from its position?
And second thing: how this would make it sounds one octave lower than the others?
I thought that a damaged component would be more realistic, but I'm not a technician.
