Re: Found a cheap jupiter 4 (3 voices working)

I understood.
The advice about the voice card is good, but I think that a better and cleaner way to set it right must exist.

I know it's difficult, but other opinions are welcome, expecially from jp4's owners. If I will decide to buy I would like to know what to do, if possible.

Re: Found a cheap jupiter 4 (3 voices working)

Seriously?

Ok, could be the voice card in the best hypothesis, but it could be also a component which needs to be replaced, do you agree? My main fear is that the synth has a problem regarding the internal chip, if so... #-o

Found a cheap jupiter 4 (3 voices working)

Hi, I have found an half priced Jupiter 4 in very good cosmetic conditions, but seller says that: by pushing the same key for 4 times, there are 3 notes which are ok and the 4th sounds around an octave lower. It also happens in poly mode. The synth, in these conditions, should be a full working 3-ph...

Re: Is the Supernova's arpeggiator a step sequencer?

I'm using a supernova 1 rack (OS 2.0). I will check the manual again and I'll write here when I find the solution. Thank you for the advice.

Re: Searching for an hardware sequencer

Thanks, but I can't understant what does mean: It's a sampler/sequencer, not a recorder. To use vocals you would have to record the parts of the vocals and then sequence them into the song, you couldn't really record a whole vocal track live very easily. I can see a "record in" on the back of mpc200...

Re: Searching for an hardware sequencer

I have also a few questions about the mpc 2000: how does it works in recording voice (pop style)? Is the voice clear or "coloured"?
I found one of these mpcs whith a not full working recording button: what is the the function of this button?

Re: Is the Supernova's arpeggiator a step sequencer?

it's in the manual. iirc you can set it so that keyed notes input one at a time if you want, but i never needed it for that except for the odd robotic melody, so to speak. best to have it all planned in advance when doing it that way - as you might guess. I have read the global section, arpeggiator...

Re: 1st Synth - Is £300 good for an Alesis ION?

What about a novation supernova rack + master or supernova keyboard? I bought the supernova I rack model about 2 weeks ago, very powerful and fast to program. It's a chamaleon, it can sound very moogish (deep basses) or jupiter/juno style (pads and leads), 80s or 90s, analog emulations or pure digit...

Is the Supernova's arpeggiator a step sequencer?

Hi, I'm trying to use the powerful supernova's arpeggiator as a classic step sequencer, but there are some things I can't understand. In poly mode there's a screen in which intervals between notes can be set trough potentiometers and buttons, but it's quite tiring. I would like to know: -Is there a ...

Searching for an hardware sequencer

Hi, I found that cubase and other soft sequencers are quite frustrating for me to use for sequencing tracks, I hate the piano roll and using mouse. I would like to know which are the best hardware sequencers, digital or analog, for recording a small number of tracks, under 400-500€. I also would lik...

Problems about recording Nepheton

Hi, I can't understand how to record a simple track using nepheton and cubase. I realized my drum-track, pushed start on the nepheton and it works. Then I create a midi track on cubase (setting it in the right way) and click on the record button, but it does not register anything. This vst instrumen...
