And rush has always been a forward thinking band, taking advantage of technology, and their sound shows it over time 8) Wonder how many Phattys are packed for the tour, 2 or 3? surely Geddy must have a spare... Oh and I just got my LP SE yesterday. it is, w/o a doubt, the most musical synth i have e...

I have one, but only use it to change parameters on my V-Amp Pro for my guitar playing. Good solid build quality, with no audio signal so there's no B "noise." A great value, and I know U could program it to do what U wish with your Triton.

bump this thread's gettin good, folks psychin up. My turn to ramble a tick. My first Rush experience was learning about them from a military friend of mine from Buffalo just after FBN was released in 1974 ("In the End" is still one of my fave R songs.) I liked how Geddy, like Chris Squire, played Ri...

They're a different band now. Keys are hardly used on the newer material. yeah it's almost like they're back to pre-2112, but more polished and accomplished and less prog-rock windy. And their previous studio release of 60s covers *Feedback* had zero keyboards (but a lot of feedback). :D This is go...

Maybe so, all I know is that a decade ago you couldnt GIVE away either Ric doubleneck models, now they command BIG bucks on eBay. A 1979 4080/12 jetglo in mint condition sold recently for nearly $12,000 USD  One of my favorite Rush performances is *Xanadu* from Exit Stage Left dvd, where they...

geddy lee is my hero. :D A Farewell to Kings is the best prog-rock album ever. IMO, of course :D For all you Ric freaks like me, while breaking out his 4001 is a big thing, it'd be an even bigger thing if GL dusted off his 4080/12 doubleneck. But then these guys are getting old, and D/N guitars are ...

Oh, but for me, that's the entire point with a live DVD. Fans singing along as much as possible. If not, I'd just listen to a CD. I LOVE live albums and DVDs, and want as much audience participation as possible. When I hear the audience outsinging the vocalist on a chorus or verse, a rush of emotio...

Last year, I saw part of a Rush DVD from Brazil (if I'm not mistaken; Geddy did say "Obrigada"), and I was quite saddened to see no keyboards/synths on the stage. And they were playing "SPirit of Radio," which is just as synth-laden as any of their popular material. Am I simpl having a dillusion? T...

On R30 he had some 76 key Yamaha sampler of some kind, and a Roland on top. Yes, that would be the Roland D-50 & Yamaha KX76 as Mr. Black indicated. Both boards are probably triggering a plethora of synths below stage. Just to double check, I pulled out my R30 DVD. There's a nice overhead camera sh...

On R30 he had some 76 key Yamaha sampler of some kind, and a Roland on top. He tends to darken out the logos so it's hard to tell. Old Phatty just sticks out like a phat thumb haha  Thanks for posting that dang cool pic. And the Rickenbacker forum is pretty excited about his return to the 4001,...

Geddy Goes Phatty Live!

According to a poster at the Moog forum, Geddy Lee is toting along a LP Stage for their current Snakes and Arrows tour. I have to wait until Aug 8 for thier Red Rocks show to see and hear it; evidently he wanted to recreate realistic analog for Tom Sawyer and other old Moog-laden older Rush songs. T...
