A-Sta is one of the best bangs for the buck, synth-wise, for I only paid $160 US for a demo at GC (blue.) I love this cryptic but tasty little bugger, especialy the realistic-sounding osc drifts one can going. It works very well in my mixes, which have a few analogs in as well. Nov does well in mode...

OK, I think it's time for all of us to sit back and reflect on the reason WHY we need yet another useless poll FCOL :( Especially LP vs. MEK, this has be hammered and argued ad nauesum ad infinitum on this forum to the point of being a joke anymore--everyone hates everyone else's gear and everyone e...

I 2nd the best CS ever :D there are tales of folks whose "warranty" had expired, and DSI fixed 'em at no or very little cost. Dave even walked me thru a mechanical repair on my MEK via email and I fixed it  super group, as is Moog. Maybe the big boys are better. :D

Korg does NOT make c**p!!! I also agree, although the first two Tritons I purchased had 9 busted keys between them. I think Korg's QC has suffered some as of late. There are, however, a smattering of Korg bashers on this forum so I just ignore them. For they know not what they speak 8) And when I p...

Everyone talks about the greatest.... but what do you think is the worst synth ever made? Least reliable? Least versitile? And especially, the Hardest to program? (Without sysex) Hmmm. When I consider all of the above only one synth comes to mind: RedSoundSystems DarkStar XPII, an "improvement" ove...

How would the EMX1 work strictly as a step sequencer for other MIDI gear? I have a chance to get one on the cheap and am seriously thinking about it.... TKS
