I had no "gateway drug" or any other singular "experience"; I was born addicted.

Dude...where is your mixing? Almost all of the elements of mixing are completely gone. Is there a reason all your tracks are in mono? Also your sounds aren't that great either, and no I'm not just talking about the minimalist drums because I listened to 3 of your tracks. The six elements of mixing; ...

Dude I say definitely take it further! Well for starters I think the atmospherics would be so much more enthralling if they were stereo. Right now, you only have the bass stereo (delayed right and left). But if you did some mixing work, you could really make this track much more engaging in my opini...

good job, reminds me of the playstation racing soundtracks in the late 90s. i hear blade runner and speed racer having a brew at an after-hours pub that plays cybertrance. You know what cybertrance is!!?!?!? I have a new respect for you Shaft! think a big thing in v-game sound tracking these days.....

If I were you I would get just a mixer like the Behringer UB1204 or any other mixer with around 8 inputs, an alt 3-4 bus (for easy recording), 2 effects sends, phantom power, basically all the qualities of a professional mixer just scaled down. With some searching, you should be able to find a mixer...

Thanks for the feedback guys...Just wanted to make sure nothing was off because I've been in seclusion for about 1.5 years now working on my music without any feedback. I'm going through with the mastering, which I'm kinda nervous about because I've never done this before and I'm not sure of the ben...

Hehe this music takes me back! Speaking of game music...:) This is really good stuff man, but you know it sounds like old video game music right? I'm assuming that is what you were going for, which is awesome because I love all kinds of old game music, but it definitely has that old video game music...

I've never had this problem...I just fiddle around with the volume on my synths until they're all around the same level. Also, you have a mixer right? Anyone with multiple hardware synths needs some sort of mixer. This will surely fix the problem. Like other have said, a compresser being used only t...

Return feedback as promised :) Well it sounds good to start, especially mixing with headphones...my head phone mixes sounded horrible! I do have some constructive advice though, mixing wise, if you don't mind. First, the are some issues with the drums, especially the hi hat, and there are some EQ is...

Common man...what was the point of that comment? If you thought it sucked, at least say whats wrong with it....or are you saying it is comparable to the music you hear in video games?

Please give some feedback on my demo reel...

So I am getting ready to send this demo reel off to get professionally mastered, and would just like some honest feedback on it before I spend the couple hundred dollars. The demo reel is a montage, and its meant for video games, as I hope to be a v-game music composer. New demo I've been here at VS...

You should never use headphones for mixing...ever. I too, ignored the advice from the pros, but ended up learning this the hard way.
