Re: UltraNova vs. MiniNova vs. other similar VAs

There is a Behringer Line 2 USB on the cheapest side, but I have no experience with that. If you are willing to spend around $99 there are some much better choices, but again the price difference is getting closer to get the Ultranova.

Not on mine, but if you put it closer to the back, it would hold smaller stuffs.

Re: How do you get over the feeling of wanting to try so man

Never tired of trying more and more synths, but doesn't really click with the newer..so mostly older synths. I prefer a vintage synth museum, instead of a store with bright new synths.

Re: I have a soft spot for...

My soft spot right now is more into using any synth with miraculous processors..so curious about the upcoming Eventide H9000, also the new take from Lexicon, Bricasti, Kurzweil, Sony, etc in a modern creative - modular multi-fx with computer integration. Nowadays I prefer this route using ITB plugin...

I can see their pictures fine here, clearing some cache or using a different wifi connection maybe?

Re: Looking for a stand

I'm using the old Delta series from Ultimate for more than 25 years and it's still standing. A bit sign of aging, made it not as balanced as before, but still can hold a Kronos and MS-20m nicely. It's being replaced with the newer Apex series, which hopefully won't disappoint it's predecessor. The l...

Re: UltraNova vs. MiniNova vs. other similar VAs

UltraNova represents great value, with a quality engine, full sized keys with aftertouch, controller function with a VST editor and a reasonably good sounding audio interface with fx and vocoder. Especially if you didn't own an audio interface yet. It may not be my first choice for an analog soundin...

Re: 1u rack pad synth

atmospherics, sweeping sound effect filler stuff, and pads In a live setting, probably unsequenced One of my favorite for that is Korg TR Rack (own a Trinity Pro), especially in the combi mode. You can use the ribbon as a replacement from the Trinity Keyboard as well. Listen to the demos here: http...

Re: Just received a Korg Sigma for free!!

Didn't know that there is a plugin, the Sigma is a synth that's never been on my radar, if the plugin is free I will download it, just curious to make a comparison 8-) That's the most analog sounding 64bit freebie that I really like, you should definitely try it! https://www.fullbucket.de/music/sti...

Congrats, it's a very desirable synth for me. Stigma is currently my favorite plugin, it's so lucky to have the real one for free.

Re: Wavestation Hardware vs. Wavestation Software Synths

The software sounds a bit cleaner compared to the hardware. I own the Original non EX/EX/SR version, those sound better than the software to me. I got a better result using the Decimort 2 for DAC simulation and pre-amp gain. The same with M1, PPG 3V and Spark Drum Machine. No performance problem wit...

I don't really remember the price, but it was a Korg Trinity Pro with all options.

It's the Microwave XT and MS-20m to me. The sound, interface and feel of the instrument are irreplaceable.

Re: Elektron hinting at something new

This reminds me of Native Instruments' driver, which is actually pretty awesome. That's one of the wildest, hard to handle but musical little distortion. Works great as a distortion module in Reaktor. Analog Heat is interesting but Dent is more of my type and for way cheaper a combination with Faul...
