Dw sounds thiner but has its own warmth, not very comparable to juno's one. Dw has also a wider range of sound capacities and an arpeggiator but is more difficult to program and has not real time controller... 2 different synths but if i had the choice I' go for the korg

I owned 2 junos 106 and a matrix 1000. I'd go for the matrix 6 if I were you, it has a wider range of sound and that oberheim sound that I prefer . It is more difficult to program but it sounds more professional than the juno. If you play in rock bands or jazz bands go for it

ESI 4000 samples

Hi everybody, I just bought a esi 4000 coming with a cd drive, a zip drive (+ 3 250 mo disks), and a 9go hd which is already messing and doesn't stop shutting by itself.... so I' m left without any sounds to check my esi 4000... If someone knows a link where I could find free samples for it or anyon...

In my grind metal band I use a jx10 w/pg800 for pads,brasses and strings and a sy77 for pianos,organs and dx-type sounds such as fm pluck, dx pianos dx bass and the great leads of this machine but I am waiting to buy an Emax II and sample all I need insiode to grab only one keyboard with me.

If you have big money for your sampler, go for a Emu emulator II ( the easiest I've ever seen) or a Emax II or better a Emulator III rack xp. They all sounds good and are not so hard to master... The roland w30 should also match but it is useless without its scsi Hard drive since it has only 720 ko ...
