yamaha motif rack es

heya guys, so i've been thinking about picking up a "yamaha motif rack es" to fill in the gaps of studio [so to speak] with some more natural sounds. i love the specs, the sounds online sound great, and the price is pretty good considering all you get. just wondering if anyone here has one, and what...

JX-3P midi upgrade

just wondering if anyone here has done the midi upgrade for the JX-3P that can be found here : http://organix.inque.org/proj_jx3pexp.html and does it work as it claims after it's installed? it doesn't appear to be too difficult to install per the instructions on the site, so i think i could probably...

i've got an art tube mp V3, it's ok, not sure i'd use it on regualr vocals.

i use mine to raise the gain before going into and input of a synth for vocoder vocals, and it works well for that.

TC Electronic M350. Inexpensive, great quality, delay/verb/chorus/phaser, 2 independent fx engines with your choice of routing. The only con is that it will only perform 2 fx at a time, and the sample rate is only 44.1 or 48khz. But its bang for the buck. You could even buy two if you had to have a...

FX unit for Nord Lead 3

heya guys, i'm looking to get a decent FX unit for my nord. i want it mainly for reverbs, but it would be nice to have some chorus and phasers, etc, and i'd prefer it to be rackmount. i'm thinking of maybe getting a kurzweil rumour, but i figured i'd ask you guys for suggestions first. so what do yo...

if your dead set on getting another JX synth, i'd suggest the JX-3P + PG-200. the JX-10 is basically 2 JX-8P's whereas the JX-3P would something a bit different sounding for you, otherwise i'd suggest something like a juno 60.

i have had both. i started off with the MEK because it seemed like i'd get more use out of it spec-wise, and it is a great original sounding synth, however it turns out i really just wanted a great bass machine, so i sold it and got the LP, and i haven't looked back since, plus i like the idea of ad...

All opinion of course... I hated the Q when I owned it. The tone of it just didn't work for me. I found there to be a lot of digital artifacts in the sound, and harshness in the high end. It seemed muddy at the low end and way to sharp at the high end. I love my Nord Lead 3. It definitely doesn't s...
