Im not a big NL fan, they remind me too much of Volvos: well-built, but too utilitarian. So IMO I have to go with the 'Dorf here, even tho I had a Q once and got rid of it. The new Micro-Q Phoenix had its street price lowered to $699, which is a good deal, considering U also get limited wavetable c...

Re: Logic Pro question...

I've had Logic Pro 7 for about four months now, only having tinkered with it on and off, but I'm looking to get a bit more in depth with it... One problem, though. During a recent move, the manual got thrown out. I need to know how to do MIDI sequencing on it, specifically using the VST's. I'm used...

nord lead 3 or waldorf q

so i sold my virus kb, nothing wrong with the virus, i've just been using it for so long and i want to mix things up a bit now. i love the sound of both the nord lead 3 and the waldorf q, i know the nord doesn't have effects, but both seem quite impressive to me, and they will both suit my style of ...

prophet 600 and sixtrak issues

i definitely want to get one of these. i love the sound of both.

the prophet 600 have more hands on knobs, but the sixtrak can use midi cc's. so either or doesn't really bother me so much.

but what i'm curious to know is which one is more stable and mostly will have less issues in the long run?

Re: Korg R3 hoover? what does it do?

I've been forced to use software for my songs for a while now and although it sounds great I'm just getting kind of sick of it...I want something tangible. So I'm thinking about picking up a Korg R3 after playing with one in a store the other day but I'm still not sure of the over all sound. I real...

little phatty plus freq box

is anyone using the freqbox with a little phatty? i just saw some of the new videos on the moog site, and one of them is this combo, and i have to say i'm much more curious now about the freqbox, than when it first came out. how usable is the freqbox? i love the idea of a 3 osc little phatty but i k...

i've been looking for a few pedals for my little phatty. how do you like the memory man on basses from the LP? I love the Memory Man on it. When engaged, the bass frequency remains intact, which can be a problem when using pedals on synths. I strongly disagree with the ol' "any pedal will do" cause...
