Re: Digital Synsations from UVI !

From my experience with UVI's tools, and especially where this is concerned, they'll have sampled all the bog-standard presets, and also added many of their own creations. I also believe (feel free to ask them directly, they're responsive) they have secured the rights to use any factory samples or p...

Re: Need EEPROM burned

Hit up Grant -- http://www.musictechnologiesgroup.com/

Very likely you can get it done with him, and likely he already has those in stock or can get them... Great guy, great service at a very reasonable cost.

Re: what synths were used for money

Not to distract from the query, but that's a brilliant video. Pity I'd never watched it 'till today. Absolute best part of the video is the 'boardist feigning reading the lyrics, flipping pages, going mental on toys.

No idea about the synth, but +1 for a great video to begin a nutter weekend.

Re: AKAI S950 and HxC floppy emulator problems.

For the SD cards, I suggest downloading the SD card formatter for this, it makes easy work of proper partitioning and formatting of the cards. I had used it extensively when I had my HxC going in my Emulator 2. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ I see you were active on the HxC forum, how...

Re: Looking for a second lover

Not vintage, but the Analogue Solutions Leipzig might be something you should look at. Quite aggressive, and not one of those machines you'll see around everywhere. Nice compliment of CV options, and a reasonable routing matrix. The other thing I'd suggest is finding a Future Retro XS (You didn't me...

Re: Suggestions regarding good beat production/sampler w/ pa

I enjoyed my MV8800 more than I liked my MPC4000. Heresy, yes; I know. Have you researched the Elektron Analogue RYTM? It has analogue voices as well as sample playback; pads, pretty nice. However, you did mention price range, so I reckon this might be a bit expensive. The MV8800 is a pretty nice pi...

Re: review of repair work - Three Wave Music

This whole thing stinks of rubbish. So he kept your stuff for months on end, and then did work that you didn't authorize? This is all a load of c**p you were fed. I would seriously be questioning him directly about this, enquiring about a partial refund for work you didn't authorise, as well as an e...

Re: review of repair work - Three Wave Music

When I initially dropped it off I was quoted 6-8 weeks for repair time. Instead it ended up being 9 months. To be honest, if you were quoted 6-8 weeks for standard service, you shouldn't have had to wait an order of magnitude longer. If you would have paid for rush service, you would have received ...

Re: Easiest Mono Synth to learn

Given your requirements, I'd probably suggest something like a Korg Prophecy, Alesis ION, or even the Korg MS2000b.

All three have reasonably decent presets that also allow one a fair latitude to tailor with ease, arpeggiator functions, and not too hard on the pocketbook.

Re: Effects pedal, keyboard stand extension

1) Could a guitar effects pedal like the Behringer FX600 also work on a keyboard? Yes. It's a stereo effects pedal, and believe it should handle line-level or instrument-level. 2) Are connection cables usually included in the package or do I have to buy seperate? Most often, separately. In this cas...

Re: Name ONE favorite pedal (+more)

As boring as this sounds, any good reamp box. I use the Saturnworks Reamp box currently. Even though some of the effects I use allow line-level and instrument-levels pretty easily (the eventide stuff for example allows you to switch between the two), some sound like utter shite when plugged into a l...

Re: Stompbox or multi effect rack for nord lead 2X

Hi, I'm thinking to add effects to my nord lead 2x for live set up. I already have a TC electronic m350 and M-one XL and lexicon mx200 in my studio but they are all installed and I don't want to remove any of them for my live setting....what could be a good effect set up for live, 3/4 stomp box, a ...

Re: arturia v collection 2, upgrade to v collection 3???

Correct. If you have V2, you can update to the same version as V3; all updates are, and have been free of charge. The difference between the two are new instruments and sound banks/etc... If you want to know the specific instruments, I'd drop them an email -- I've had pretty good response from their...
