wow, great tips there Mooger5! The the transformer doesn't smell burnt out. i'll get a multimeter and check the components more thoroughly...

ok , i'll think i'll the mains stuff alone for now then! cheers for the info on the part number etc...i'll probably go and read up on it some more and take it to a tech if i'm not making any headway. cheers!

I'm curious how you measured current going to and from the transformer. Current must be measured in series so you would have to cut wires and put your multimeter between them. I think your "no current" measurement (and conclusion that it's the transformer) is not correct. . yes, i would think you'r...

or something that is similar? it has such a unique sound what about that resynthesis thing? its supposed to be able to re-create samples via FM which becomes tweakable afterward - sounds similar to that new description of the hartman neuron - are there soft synths that can do that? you could use CS...

I wonder how he's separating those notes?? Really really clever frequency detection and filtering. I've recorded a video of it this Friday on the Messe - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLOHyxnMl1U the pitch detection i get, separate similar correlating fundamentals...but separating the timbres..wow...

Damn. DAMN. :shock: I don't know quite how I feel about this, but I am well and truly gobsmacked , at least by the efficacy of their demonstration. I can't help wondering how long it will be before somebody grossly overshoots its intended usage... can't wait! worked for the 303 and the wah-wah peda...

What is your opinion on Auto Tune? It's being hugely used nowadays with pop artists with the whole "Cher" Effect thing going on, and I wanna know other people's opinions on it. fairly annoying i guess, but isn't it just an effect like phasing, filter sweeps, vocoding etc...? Maybe we're just not us...

always wondered how they produced the sound from the beginning of the track...

is it sequenced sounds, some crazy lfo setting, a sample? what is that filter??
