Roland S-50 data/SCSI-port?

Does anyone know anything about the dataport hidden behind a metal bracket on the backside of the sampler? It looks like somekind of SCSI-port or some kind of dataport. I know that the rackversion S550 has a SCSI-port, so I'm wondering if this is also the case with S50, but support for the connectio...

Most of my gears are imported from US or EU country, and I never had any problem with RoHS compliant. As SickMonkey said: "anything manufactured before 2006 is ok to import". I bought my Emulator II and both Emax from US and I didn't have any problem with it, though I had to pay custom fees 25% for ...

I love my S-770, the sound is BIG whatever you sample. I bought one because I like the idea of connecting a monitor instead of using the 'tiny' display. The GUI-interface is intuitive. I've just started to scratch the surface of what it is capable of doing. It can read DOS formated disks so upgradin...

Piano keyboard keys manufacture/(re)seller

Does anyone know of a piano-/synth-keyboard key manufacture/seller that sells separate keyboard keys? I've been searching the web but it seems hard to find any retailers or manufactures for that.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Forget the deal. My bet is that you will lose the money.
Selling car wheels? Does anyone trust a car seller? MUUAAAHHHAA!
(Sorry for that burst)
Save your money and look for another deal.
Btw, shouldn't this thread be in the Buyer's guide forum?

You're right plus321, the S-50 uses a DSDD drive. All the original system/sound disks are DSDD disks. I had to open my S-50 to resolder some of the I/O-ports as they were lose. I discovered that the "SCSI"-port was hardwired to the PCB, but it didn't say anything (on the PCB board) if it IS a SCSI-i...

The S-50 has at the rear end - hidden behind a metal plate - a data port that looks like a SCSI port. Though I don't think Roland ever implemented any SCSI drivers/routines for the S-50 as they did for the S-550. They just abandoned the keyboard infavour of the rack. It would be nice if someone coul...

I have two Emax I; a rack and the keyboard version and two Prophet 2002 rack. I wanted more polyphony and both the Emax and the Prophet supports MIDI overflow which makes it possible to play more than eight notes/voices simultaneously. A specially goood feture to use with the 'Grand piano' sound.

Actually I'm a proud owner to a S50 with a DT-100 tablet \:D/ Nice pic  I wish I also had the Roland color monitor, I think it's called cc-141, to make the picture complete. As you said, the DT-100 is more of a gimmick than useful. I belive it was made to make it look more like a fairlight on ...

In addition to weight, the dimensions of the package will significantly effect shipping. Something being an inch too long or wide can drive it up into a higher price bracket, especially with international shipping. It may be that he packed it in a larger-than-necessary box. I had an emax. While not...
