The Photon X25 is a midi controller, not a vocoder :-s

:P Should be fun!

What I like about it is that it's a stand alone machine, with speakers. Something that you can play everywhere. It can even run on batteries. It seems to have a very specific sound, and that's great!

I love the "Push" mode example on the website, it makes me want to get one!

Yes. The effect engine is exactly the same.

Has anyone got a Radias and a MS2000 for comparison? The interface and some of the architecture looks similar and I wondered if the Radias was a MS2000 that had been developed further? thanks T2 Well, like I said, you can load MS2000 patches in the Radias (with the "MS2KRadiasConv" software), and t...

Re: Korg Radius - What You think

Can I ask what owners of the Radias think of this synth as compared to other offerings on the market. How is it for ambient and Berlin school electronic in particular? Rgds It's not the best sounding synth I ever used, but's one of the most creative and flexible. Korg didn't play the boring "analog...

As for the formant sequencer, i believe they call it the modulation sequencer. If thats the same thing, then yes it has one. The R3 has the same sound engine as the radias ad the mk did the ms2000. . There's a little confusion here. "Formant Motions" are recorder vocoder sequences, while "Modulatio...

I want to buy new stuff :)

The FS1R is probably the best digital synth I ever had, but I'm too familiar with it now. The enthusiasm is gone, it's time to let it find a new home

I ask €250 for it.

Lucky boy! It is truly an amazing synth! You don't have to load the DX presets. The FS1R includes, in its 1400 preset voices bank, the most famous TX and DX sounds. I got mine when it was released. I always used it from a " preset tweaking perspective ", and it's fun! Just by adjusting the effects, ...

Re: Korg radias - anyone own one or know any thing about it?

I'm having trouble finding demos for it and the few that I have found are horrid press a key and a song comes out type demos I could care less about built in drums or making a whole song in it I just want raw synth power. Most of the presets on the Radias are " instant-gratification-press-one-key-e...

Re: Two midi keyboards to decide on-quick help plz. :)

So I'm up to deciding between two small midi keyboards. Here are my choices: Edirol pcrm1 or the alesis photonx25. Right now I'm leaning more towards the pcrm1 but the key bed looks so small I dunno on its playability? I'll prob. end up buying the edirol pcrm1 but if you guys have any other opinion...

I was interested in the R3. I have the Radias, it's one of my favorite digital synth. I thought it would be cool to have a "lite" version with a small keyboard (the R3 is based on the same sound engine as the Radias). I changed my mind however after reading the first reviews. Apparently the build qu...

I know this is and "old" thread, but I wasn't active on this site when it was a current thread. Where Korg screwed up on the Radias is the price it was launched at....1999.00 LIST 1599.00 MAP (or was that 1699?) WAY WAY too much money for a VA. That market is really saturated, and even though the R...

Amazona.de posted a review of a prototype a few weeks ago.

The OS was not yet complete, some features are still in development. So I'm afraid we won't see it soon...
