I got a used TEAC reel to reel from the 70's and was anxious to start recording with it, but couldn't bear to tape over the material on the single tape it came with. Almost the whole tape is an improvised sing-song by a young girl, mostly about how ice skating is fun. It's hilarious. Gonna have to s...

I find it's plenty sturdy enough for me, though I don't gig. The looper is very functional but extremely basic. All you can do is layer parts, start over, or strip everything away but the original layer. There is no removing of tracks one by one. I have hardly used the regular delay mode at all beca...

Getting a full featured "minimoog" system will usually set you back alot more than a Voyager or original used Minimoog. And in about two minutes you'll be making crazy sounds a mini could never dream of thanks to all the I/O. Every system has it's own limitations which is why it's great to have suc...

If it helps, there was a used Red Square for sale at Analog Haven a few months ago for $899 I believe. I don't think it lasted very long.

Some people put dotcom down for not offering any radical modules or a dozen filter flavors, it wasn't an issue for me. This is what deterred me from dotcom and led me down the DIY route(well I can`t afford buchla, cynthia, serge etc.), but now that I`ve got a few basic modules up and running I real...

The entire kit is complete with pots knobs and switches. You can also buy the panel now too. And it sound crazy. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow. One catch though. The output is a low level, so you need to plug it into an amp or build a small transistor/op-amp amplifier for headphones or a smal...

I smashed my Paia Midi CV converter Eprom to pieces today in anger that I broke a pin off and it is absolutely impossible to fix. (Ok well I also wanted to see what's inside, hardly anything  )

there was an interview with alex saying how horrible it was to play with eddie live. I guess it was common for him to be out of tune, out of time, and off key. i have no interest in starting a debate on ANYTHING on the internet,i'll just say that there is VH footage circa 78-80 that proves TO ME(ma...

Ahh, I found it. Basic maybe, but it's worth it just to see and hear the MMM in action.
