Re: Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?

I've never heard of the DI thing either, in fact its recommend for cleaning off organic flux by the manufactures (I use Kester 331 and the spec sheet says to use DI). The whole point of DI is the "De-ionized" property which makes it LESS reactive by removing sodium, calcium, copper and iron ions com...

Re: sequential circuits TOM replacement buttons

I went through this and never found a suitable substitution.. Wine country might be worth trying, they never have stock but may provide a modern replacement part number. I just used an MPD to control it, way more fun that way anyway since it will respond to velocity and you can assign the slider to ...

Re: shipping to US only, why?

The main issue is customs (Germany is the WORST when it comes to this). It's like a lottery, once you go right through, another time they sit on the damn thing for WEEKS. I got burned on this several times already, ebay item ships, sits in customs for 6 damn weeks, buyer bitches, I send replacement ...

Re: FS: Korg Monotribe Midi Kits

I have cables available for interfacing directly to the iPad IK iRig midi port. $10 per set. It just so happens that they used the same approach I did so you can connect the two with a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable

you get a good look at ben's rig. Namely a Moog LP and a Virus. Neither are anywhere close to $500 though ($1200 and $3K respectively)

FS: Korg Monotribe individual out amp boards/kits

I am ready to start offering these commercially. This is a 4 channel amplifier designed to increase the output level of the individual out patch points on the monotribe (which is PAINFULLY low). It pretty much raises the outputs to line level. This kit will require soldering (no way around it) and I...

Yes. In fact, I will have a clear one with black infill with DSP board for sale shortly so you will be able to see what that looks like. With the clear ones, no infill actually looks best though imho

Re: Cleaning mouse piss off a PCB?

I had the same experience with a AX-60 (including a mummified mouse). I took everything apart and scrubbed the boards (gently) with a long bristle nail brush and simple green followed by a rinse in distilled water. Water wont hurt anything as long as it is 100% dried up but you should take care to k...
