Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

I think you are on to something with the buffer and slowing down the messages so the processor has a chance to do its thing, since it did seem to catch up but these things were produced by two different companies over a period when the company changed hands as well so who knows what was changed. Obv...

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

try a software editor and see how it works for you, I had equally bad problems with the software as I did the hardware. I had a black face one BTW (I believe that was the Gibson produced one). When I say "real time tweaking" I am talking about playing a note and sending controller data at the same t...

Re: Ob Matrix-1000 Hardware programmer: NovationRemoteSL?

... But the question is, can it be used like the matrix programmer or encore knobby, and the answer is likely yes it could duplicate that ability. Not having used those I cannot say anything about them but I can definitely say that it works like s**t with the Novation remote.. Its not anything new,...

Re: Ob Matrix-1000 Hardware programmer: NovationRemoteSL?

The Remote SL should work, I'm planning on using my Remote Zero for the same thing. It can send sysex, rpns, nrpns, etc... I did this with my Remote my M1000 and it barely worked, it would jam up the processor and the M1000 would freeze with anything more than a tiny little adjustment. You can twea...

Re: cleaning switches and pots on p600

Deoxit may help in the short term but spraying anything into a pot is a bad idea since it can pick up c**p and keep it there on the resistive strip which will make it deteriorate faster. Once that strip is worn past a certain point, it has to be replaced. Ideally, you want to take off the pots, take...

Re: Matrix 6/1000 - Soft Mod Glitches - how bad is it really

I'm gonna try to use my Remote Zero for the same kinda thing... (once i recap my 6r's power supply) Dont bother, I did it with my Remote and M1000 and it would hang the Matrix with anything more than a little tiny adjustment to the parameter. If you need to tweak something realtime, do it with the ...

Re: Juno-106 blowing 500mA SB fuses

to add to what rhino said, check caps. They can short if they go bad and if it was a bypass cap, that would blow your fuse like described.

Re: Juno-106 blowing 500mA SB fuses

It blowing after a long period vs immediately on the analog side is worrisome since it points to something in the circuit is crapping out after it warms up. If there anything obviously wrong function wise?

Re: MOTU Midi Express XT Serial question

dont bother. It is not worth hassle. I wrestled with one for a while on XP and it was a suckfest. Just find a dedicated patcher like a DMC MX-8 on ebay (there are like 5 on there right now)
