Yamaha YS-200 - odd looking keyboard version of TX81Z. Use for controller too. Yamaha TX802 - clean, fast, almost always works somewhere in the mix - records exactly as it sounds. Korg EX-800 - Almost all sounds have cool resonant tails - records very well. Roland Juno 106S - There are just so many ...

I have one of those, a Kawai Mav-8. It works like a champ and is about as straightforward as it gets. However, it doesn't have midi filtering, which means blocking all but one channel passing through an output. The fact that it's receiving power from an AC adaptor or C cell batteries won't make a difference, but you should check the internal battery. That's the one that powers the memory. Also parameter #85 should control the midi channel. Try running a few different channels and see what happens. If nothi...

I'm not sure what they're going to offer, but Roland now has an empty Soft Synth box on their US site: http://www.rolandus.com/products/subcategories.aspx?ParentId=17 Interesting. Any idea how long's it been there? I was informed on another forum that it used to contain the Roland/Edirol Sound Canv...
