Pre-1990: Univox Minikorg K-2 ($600)
Digital: Roland D-50 w/ PG-1000 ($600)
Hybrid: PPG Wave 2.3 ($2,500)

I don't know if I did this right.

Wavestation, M1 and Jupiter-4. Jupiter 4? I think some people are basically just listing their synths and nothing else. You obviously don't know AC. That guy LOVES his Jupiter-4. Understandably too. It's a great machine. And the pads it can make are pretty sweet, I should know, I begged him ...

I've heard the Chandler Stereo Digital Echo sounds REAL close to a tape echo, and it's a digital delay (from the very few demos I heard, I don't disagree). I am thinking of getting one in place of an RE-201, since I too do not want to go through all the maintenance to keep it working. However, I'm t...

Thanks. Let me know if you record a demo with the arpeggiator. I think I'm going to buy it if the arpeggiator is good.

Anyone have a demo of the Pro-One arpeggiator?

Hey guys. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, didn't know where to ask for it exactly. I am thinking of getting a Pro-One, and I want to hear its arpeggiator, as it could be a selling point in the synth. Can anybody post up some examples? Thanks.

I own a 770, and I have to say that I never use the 64' option. It's actually too deep to be be usable, at least for my purposes. On the other hand, the external signal input is invaluable, because (i) it allows me to ring-modulate other instruments (e.g. my 606's hi-hats); (ii) it allows me to app...

I once saw a video with a buchla run trough that quad sherman filter and then into another device that I have no idea what was, but the sound, I never thought anything that cost 10000+ could even remotely sound so bad. the guys were covering their ears while the engineer turning some knobs, and the...

Well, it sounds like you'd be doing it basically to go to 64' on the VCO. Apart from that they don't seem very different... Do you think you would use the external input? Not sure. I've never had experience with it; some synths have awesome external signal processing, some have not-so-good ones. Do...

Korg MiniKorg 700s or 770?

Hey guys. I have the Univox Mini-Korg K-2 (AKA MiniKorg 700s). I like it, but I've been looking into the 770. I can't see too many differences, except VCO 1 goes to 64' (opposed to the 700s which goes to 32'), has an external input, and fine tune. Both have ring modulators, and both have 2 VCOs (the...

I want one though, luckily I already have a black DS Lite so it'll look cool with the black background of the synth.

1. effects - good reverb delays but also some s&h lo-fi like stutter i eventide, it's better to have many old cheap reverbs instead of one great and natural sounding. 2. sampler - for everything, pads, drones, fx, dirt, field recordings, clics etc. 3. polyphonic analog synth - obx/p5/j8 - or some b...
