Re: Korg MS-20 for the iPad

I thought the seq was just 3ch until NOW! It's actually 11 channels (2ch for vol/pan mode) and mod source even has VCO wave or effect type! This app is rather really deep to use every bit of it...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?

I think you can pretty much believe at least the Japanese price. Not sure for USD tho, as Apple still charges 115 yen for 99c in app store! It's not that I don't believe what you're saying, it's just that Korg's rep on the Messe2011 floor quoted a different (higher) price than all of the internet r...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?

It is 21000 yen, avail in late May in Japan. weight: 735 gram, 14 hours playing with 6 AAAs. "sync" can sync with audio level pulse signal, as I read.

Re: Korg Monotribe ?

key person behind the monotron is a young engineer who has recently joined to Korg. if my memory serves, at the job interview he brought a handmade analogue designed by himself to show his ability and enthusiasm to analogue. Where did you get that info from? Japanese magazine or something? variou J...

He was hired but K...

Re: Multi-tracked DX7 demo

That's a good demo. So the pad is so wide because of the phase and subtle timber difference in left and right channel, good work. I also like the backing chord of marimba sound. That reminds me of the golden days of Thompson Twins...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer

EU price includes VAT. The casing is made of aluminum (if my memory serves) and look at the display, it's not the parts of a casiotone. Its just by the looking makes some people think it's an expensive casiotone. I suppose knobs and swtiches would feel great by using expensive components. Lastly it'...

Re: Alesis Micron sound question (newbie question)

I recommend you use the software editor until you can have some idea of what param will do what. Feature wise, the micron is a complex synth (matrix option, repeatable envs, FM option, morphing waves). The filter selction alone is so large but you may not yet really feel the difference among them or...

Re: Macbeth Proto

it would be awesome if those oscillators can be LFO as well and modulate anything but I doubt that's the case. maybe 3rd one only like mini? if it features sine wave it's a killer.

Then it's rather expensive indeed!

I don't know if I'd ever be able to afford this. But then how could I afford a Buchla!
