Re: more Korg MS-10 repair questions
My MS20 has only pot which is slightly scratchy at start up, and it's the main volume. It's not even annoying but except that the whole thing is really good condition so I felt making it perfect. I tried to apply some deoxite from the front panel or side of the pot (after removing side cover) and it...

Re: Moog Voyager XL
Voyager + VX351 + VX352 + CP251 + ribon + wider keyboard actually could make pretty much $5000...

Re: Moog Voyager XL
If this isn't polyphonic, isn't it rather limited compared to Voyager + VX351 + VX532? And the price? 3 Mults are taking large area in the valueable small patch space. Can be substituted by $1 splitter, I'd rather have something with 'circuits' for the price...

Re: what's the ugliest synth you can come up with?
IMO this is one of the worst and less atractive designs on a good synth: http://www.codevinyl.com/images/fusion8HD.jpg Did they paid somebody to make the ugliest synth ever? It looks like a keyboard arranger or a plastic toy. It seems they felt inspired by the dash of the hyundai Elantra..... contr...

Re: 909, 808, 303 - Worth it?
Some people play clarinet, French horn, or oboe, and for years, they will stick to that one tone and create music out of it. Like them, you can decide to be [for instance] a 303 player and stick to that instrument. There is nothing wrong with it, if the instrument really inspire your pure creativit...

Re: My (and Your) Favorite Minimoog Solos
Sy Borg in Joe's Garage (Disk1) by Frank Zappa! Well, I'm not sure if it's minimoog! I don't even remember who was playing the fantastic solo! Peter Wolf played that solo on a Minimoog I think. Peter did most of the keyboard parts on "Joe's Garage". His keyboard setup at the time included a Hohner ...

Re: korg monotron vs MS-20
I have both. My MS20 is probably rev1 and just came back from the service by Korgtech (Korg's ex-enginner working: http://www.korgtech.co.jp/korgtech/business/vintage/ It's like Korg semi-official vintage shop. Costs like: inspection 10000yen, most ms-20 repair fits in 40000yen - 80000yen) For almos...

Re: iPhone / iTouch music applications suggestions
Does anyone know if it would be a detriment to buy a 2nd gen ipod touch for music apps? Or do some of these apps need a 3rd gen? The 3rd gen models are only 32gb and 64gb so they're more expensive.. Apparently 3rd gen has faster processor, etc. edit: or maybe wikipedia's just out of date, seems fut...

Re: Rant: No more microkeyboards!!
I hated mini keyboard to death before but one day I decided to change my mind set about it like J.R. began practicing pitch bend wheel to manually produce vibrate. Couple of thins have to be compromised - velocity won't work like full keyboard no matter how you practice, black keys are often tougher...
