Re: have any groups made country music with synths?

Who needs synths when you've got chugging / droning / phasing guitar like this. ;-)

Re: have any groups made country music with synths?

Well Bill Drummond of the KLF seems to be genuinely a fan of country music. There's lots of slide-guitar along with the synths and samples of Elvis on Chill Out, and check his solo albums. But yeah of course it would be daft to describe them as simply a country band. ;-)

Kick out the JAMMS.

Re: have any groups made country music with synths?

Digging the Drake.

Surely an obvious and essential contender, if perhaps not quite what the OP has in mind ;-) :

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

That cat definitely spent some formative years in North London.

Anyway, what a great job they seem to have done with these - just the kind of features we (I mean, I) would want to see. That undo/redo on the active step is a total winner.

Re: Nord Lead 4 Coming to Musikmesse

They still work, whatever you think or say of the company's policies. Perhaps if you shake your fist a bit harder all the Nord Modulars (which were originally released 15 years ago) in the world will spontaneously become unusable by some process of morphic resonance. Maybe then you won't feel so com...

Re: Nord Lead 4 Coming to Musikmesse

Sure - if it doesn't work, just buy another computer. Sure. Issues like lack of space, etc - those are irrelevant. If nord cared about their customers, they would do minor updates to make the software compatible. And even if you want to be a fanboy and say that their support on this is exemplary, w...

OIC, the Norwegian guy was dissing the Swedes. Well I think we have to take that with a pinch of salt. ;-)

Re: Nord Lead 4 Coming to Musikmesse

O/T but operating systems moving on is a nearly unavoidable issue for anything computer based. The Nord Mods are great though, not only flexible but actually very robust and easy to use. And of course they still work - if you find your latest Mac won't run the old editor you could pick up an old iMa...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

I'm surprised in the interest in the Keys box. It's tonal range as a poly seems pretty limited, 3 notes of saw or square. I'm also guessing that it is paraphonic, not polyphonic. Perhaps it could put out some rough leads with the ring modulator, but I've yet to hear anyting in the videos that are u...

Re: Modular: Silly start?

That 4ms stuff looks great.

The VCA Matrix reminds me of an Auxpander, is it something like that?

Oh gawd... ;-)

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

All three for £360 and that's a lot of voices and hands-on control for that much. Limited in some ways but often well chosen limitations are a good thing. Less than half the price of an A4 as well if that's a comparison worth making; which it might be if you find yourself considering one option or t...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?

Griifin I'm fairly certain the WIST support mentioned would be via the Korg Sync iOS app. Which is cool but also entirely to be expected.

Multiple Korgasm!

(Korg if you're reading you can pay me to use that, or hire me as a demonstrator that would be cool. I'm available, let's talk. Luv ya.)
