Re: DSI Poly Evolver OR DSI Combo of MEK & Prophet '08

i LOVE my poly evolver keyboard. it is a glorious instrument, and i would go for that....

btw, i HIGHLY recommend the potentiometer version. it completely changes the synth, making it a million times better. :)

Re: Best Vocoder? Hardware or Modular?

i have also always loved vocoders. in reference to the above, i agree that the virus vocoder is s**t. i hate that thing. i have the moog 16-ch, roland svc350 and dvp-1 currently. while i agree that overall the svc is really nice, that moog is huge when setup right. i belive that the moog is a restam...

do you have a particular synth you are pairing with your voice to get that sound? i always liked using the juno 106 for vocoding.

those would be nice. i am a huge fan of the 808 toms. having a more comprehensive tom module would be great.

honestly, having the m-base / m-snare and or m-tom actually have knobs on the front would be REALLY great

i doubt you are, though the most useful are the kick and snare, as the rest are mostly samples anyways (depending on the machine)

...If JoMoX was to do a NSnare01, I would buy it without hesitation. An analog snare pedal is something I would love to own. cheers, Ian I would kill for this. I kept my xbase09 for a long time simply cause I loved the snare so much. The m-base01 is the most amazing kick ever, and would look lovely...

Don't bother trying to find any other than those.

most companies want to operate with a 5x mark-up. 5 TIMES!???!!! in most retail scenarios a 3x markup is pushing it - and very few items in any market regularly sell at full MSRP. Executive overhead (GREED) is out of control. We're the frogs, and they're the pot of water slowly heating up to a boil...

You tried it already! Sounds like a fun unit and can't wait to hear it. And Prophei, let me know if you want to sell your Cwejman filter. Did you decide to keep it? I'm looking to buy the new Plan B Model 11 evil twin filter, so I'd be in the market. yeah, i got to play on it. mike and i hang out r...

i work at a current top music instrument company, and have tried my best to push for analog based projects... and there is zero interest. it isn't that the powers that be don't like them, it is just extremely complicated. most companies want to operate with a 5x mark-up. that is far harder to achiev...

i would buy the andromeda. it is an easy choice for me. i have loved mine since the day i bought it, and have yet to find a type of analog sound it can't do. that said, the only gripe i have with it (and it is a small one) is that the env's are not as fast as i would prefer. this is only an issue wi...
