Seeing as it's the closest I'll ever come to a GX-1, I'd love someone to come up with some GX-1 style sounds for it. Especially the string sound used by Stevie Wonder in Village Ghetto Land.

Free or illegal ? Much of the stuff on sf2midi is illegally ripped copyrighted material.

Proceed with caution.

Have a look at the ProSamples libraries by Best Service . These are "Best Of" collections from bigger libraries and are multi-format CD's. One disc is always in Akai S1000/S3000 format and can therefore be converted using the free Fusion Convertor available from the Alesis site. Being in this Akai f...

People criticised the MPC500 for it's limited screen. I wonder how much flack Roland will get for a 3 digit LED ??? ;) ;)

The fact is that Vienna tells me that it doesn't detect soundfont compatible driver but I don't own a soundblaster card , just an ac97 integrated soundcard. It does the same with both 2.4 and 2.3. Seamless looper is too expansive for me , I just got my bank account empty to pay the fusion... Well, ...

Re: Freeware to loop samples

Hi everyone, I just got a fusion 6hd and I'd like to find a freeware which can loop sample before putting them into the fusion. I'm also looking for a freeware to build soundfonts but the only free one I found, Vienna, doesn't work at all under windows xp. Can someone help me ? Ok, for SF, Vienna d...

Re: ReBirth RB-338

Does anyone use ReBirth? - got any cool songs/presets for ReBirth? I want the Rebirth modules to be implemented into Reason one day... I thought there was a way to incorporate rebirth into reason already There is. It's called the ReBirth Input Machine and pops into your Reason Rack. This syncs up R...

If you want just a host, try Chainer or Forte.

If you want a sequencer that hosts, then anything like Cubase, Live, Fruity Loops, et al will suffice but each of those have their unique features that you will need to check out before committing to a purchase.

I would certainly buy a ReFill of Fairlight and other vintage samplers such as the Emulator II and Synclavier. I'm sort of surprised this hasn't happened already. Indeed, as would I. I know that Dangerous Bear Productions at some point took some of our (Hollow Sun) samples and converted them to NN-...

thanks for the offer. I already have loads of Fairlight sounds in various formats but was looking for something in ReFill format for quick use and to save me the job of resampling a lot of what I already have. Thanks again. I've emailed Marco Raaphorst (the original designer of the ReFill) to see if...

Fairlight sounds for Reason

Hi guys, I'm searching for a ReFill that contains Fairlight sounds. I have found many references to the Zimulator free CMI ReFill, but every link is dead :( If anyone knows of an active link or is able to send me the ReFill, I'd be most grateful. Being free, I doubt sending it would contravene any l...
