Re: Please help - Jupiter 4 or Jupiter 6?

would it defeat the purpose of owning a 1 osc Roland like the 4? I thought the Jupiter-4 had VCO's contolled by one micro-processor....that's were the term compuphonic came from It has 4 voice polyphony, but only one VCO per patch. Just like the Junos have one DCO per sound in 6 voice polyphony.

Box, there's a place by me that has a JX-3p with the PG-200 for like $250-$275. If you were interested in it, I could grab it and send it to you.

Oberheim OB-Xa are 1500+ aren't they? Even if I were to sell all my keyboards I wouldn't half of it. h**l, I don't know if I can get another keyboard yet. I'm having to spend $500 to get my car runnning; priorities I suppose. I'm limited to a few hundred for next keyboard purchase if there is to be...

i want a jupiter 4 very badly also.....they seem to go a little over $1000 on ebay ....it would be best to find one on craigslist cause things usually go for cheaper on there....a guy had one up a few weeks ago for only $500 and i emailed him immediately but it was a "whoever gets here first gets i...

it's viscount synth with licensed from Oberheim.
Which is licensed from Gibson. :?

It sounds nothing like an Oberheim. It's rather poor sounding if you ask me. I had one, then sold it. As that type of VA goes, I would take a JP-8000 over it.

Any specific reverb and delay? It sounds quite nice. God bless the Obie resonant sound, nothing even comes close.

Box,

Do yourself a favor and save up for an Oberheim already. :) Sell your ION if need be. How much can you afford? You might want to try a better VA too, instead of an Obie, if you can't afford it.

I'm not trying to have a dig at people's musical taste here but I'm just wondering what the appeal of 'Jump' is? Before I got into synths, it allways struck me as a shallow and cheesily commercial song created to give the vocalist a chance to do some star-jumps. What am I missing? Or please tell me...

Man, you do love that sound! Novation Supernova II does the sound VERY well (you could buy an OB for that price), but in all honesty... any VA will get you there. The ION should get you really close. Saw waves, fairly bright filter, little EG depth mod, quick attack times on OSC and filter, and quic...

Just listen to the Roland SH-1, 101, and 09. Check out Analog Crazy's SH-09 demo on youtube. And prepare to be blown away by a single oscillator.

Boss RE-201 Space Echo, survey says...............

AWESOME! I picked it up on a whim, fearing that the emulation would be too..,emulated. And wow, was I surprised. My first test was to run it through the Little Phatty, where it sounded nice. The Boss retained all tone of the original, maybe darkening it up a bit, but there's bass and trebble setting...

No man, pissing contests on these forums are not my thing. If they were, I would say... I'm going to be the first to drop $4000 on it. That's right I forgot that the metal and wood are what makes the synth, great thinking right there, now it's totally worth the four grand. All hardware too! No oscil...

??? Not really. Considering they weren't currently using the ARP Quadra or 2600 in 1985. Just stating that they had it. I've heard from several sources that they used an OBX-a. h**l, even if you look at the OBX-a review on this site you'll see New Order as one of the users. If you know the sound of ...
