Re: Andromeda

Terrific synth. Very ugly though, if you ask me. But definately a cornerstone in any studio!

Re: Juno 106 vs Jupiter 4 vs Jupiter 6

I have a 106 in marvelous condition. I'm the second owner, but the first owner never used it (well, twice) nor transported it.

I would definately take a JP-4 over JP-6, anyday. I'm really interested in a JP-4 actually, but they are rare in Sweden.

Re: Closest DCO synth to Jupiter 8 in a tone perspective

I'm assuming the Synthex is around the 4k mark? :o I've heard the P600 described as "harsh", would it be too harsh to pull off that smooth lead on Howard Jones' New Song? Also is it possible to use the DCB on one Juno to control another Juno, so that you would be playing both simultaneously? I'm no...

Juno-6/60. JX3P doesn't sound like JP-8 at all. Haven't tried the Synthex.

Re: My D-50 bank is finished! (with download!)

What patch is the first sound? The slow brass pad...Beautiful! That, my friend, is the first patch in the bank. "Soundtrack II" ;) Yes, a windows PC is what you need with SysexD50. It works with enything from Win98 to Windows 7. I have never had to adjust transfer speed or anything. It just works! ...

I thought Daft Punk made the music to Tron? Or am I mixing it up with another movie?

Re: Pro one

I bought a Pro-One on eBay 4 years ago, loved it, got the Prophet '08 and traded it for a Prophet-5 rev.3 and some cash in between. A year later I got the Prophet VS. To say the least, I like Curtis chips and SCI gear :D

Get the P5 instead of the P '08. It has so much soul.

Re: My D-50 bank is finished! (with download!)

I am trying to play the audio link in the OP but can't. Is it just me? It just gets stuck on buffering. Is anyone able to play it? I am very curious about this sound set! Eh, filefreak corrupted all my files and I will have to upload the demo again. But you can listen to my shorter version here: (I...

Re: Again: Juno or Polysix?

I've had both the Polysix and the Juno-106 for quite a few years. They sound very different and I never use them for same types of sounds. They excel at different things. The 6/60's sound better than the 106, and you will surely acquire a Polysix in addition to the Juno anyhow :D

I will try this tonight! Thank you! :)

Hopefully one can arrange the sound banks and order of the presets...
