Yes, the 106 was shipped with two banks of factory patches. I've had three 106's and two of them had their presets intact... Depends on who the previous owners were.

Although I'm not sure how many voices it eats up in the process, It's stereo unison that spreads the voices center, hard left and hard right. Yamaha RS7000 or Roland MC909 for sequencing other synths?

I have a crapload of hardware synths now and I was thinking about getting some sort of groovebox to sequence with them without my computer... Anyone have experience with either of those two?

The Yamaha TX802 and TX16w has the same issue. Real annoying but probably standard fare for the time.

Ah yeah... When I bid, I usually have a set max price in mind and just try and snipe it when there's less than 30 seconds to spare. I'm outbid I don't have time to bid higher, but that means I also can't impulsively engage in a bidding war. :P

You could totally get that with a JP6 and heavy phaser effects.
