Re: Rozzbox V.2 Discontinued

I had the Rozzbox 2 for awhile and while it completely blew me away at first, I never really produced anything tangible and accesible with it. While this was probably a shortcoming on my my part, I eventually found it to be too difficult to actually control and meaningfully navigate around. I was ju...

Yeah-"best" is an adjective that goes far into subjective territory, but for sheer amazing potential and uniqueness, the Spectralis II has to rank near the top.

Re: Resist buying, save up for the big one

Just sell the little cheap ones and use the cash to buy the big ones. Works for me. Yeah-THIS is the strategy that I found works best. The little toys that keep popping up (the Kaoss-type units, and, to some extent, the chopped-down Evolver-style units) are good for a laugh or two, but their novelt...

Re: Final opinions of the Orb sequencer?

What would you like to know? It works as advertised in my experience. I was just curious about its tactile response, if it's easy to use, etc. I noticed you got rid of yours; was that just because you no longer had any use for it due to getting rid of the XS? Yeah, just didn't have use for it anymo...

Final opinions of the Orb sequencer?

Now that the FR's Orb has been available for several months, I was curious about the opinions from the regulars on this board. I heard that there's an option to combine 3 of them and have them fit into a 19" rack now; that sounds tempting. But, before I blow any more money, I just wanted a few exper...

Re: Dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say about synths

I was playing some Crystal Method and someone at the BBQ said "Turn that disco s**t off." Ive got some bad news for you buddy.... Crystal Method and a variety of other electronic dance, techno, trance, ebm, house, et cetera, use SO MANY techniques, tones, rhythms, and flare that was developed in th...

Didn't you have a 777 or 2 that you sold? THAT''s the direction I would head in if I were you. There are a few up for sale now, I believe.

Re: Acidlab Miami

but the important question is--WHEN IS THE DAMN THING GOING TO BE AVAILABLE?! http://www.acidlab.de/Order/?product=Miami Thanks! I just thought there was going to be more of a formal unveiling of the product. I can't tell if this is one of those deals where you order it first and then he builds it ...

Re: Do people get addicted to flipping synths?

The hunt is always better than the kill. The research of the instrument, the quest for the best deal, the reorganization of the studio and then mastering the unit itself is often more exhilarating than the actual resulting music.

Re: Promising glance at the "Oddulator"

It looks interesting but depending on the price, the DSI Mopho might be a better deal. Is it polyphonic? If not, can they be chained together for polyphony? Disclaimer - I tried out a prophet 8 for a few hours, but never the mopho. As I understand it though, the mopho is pretty much a monophonic ve...

Re: Promising glance at the "Oddulator"

Are you eyeing this to tie you over once your Rozz is gone  This looks like a cool box. I'm glad to see Kilian expand his line. Hah! The Rozz is sold and I'm not specifically looking for any other synths now, but this certainly is a nice alternative to the DSI model of creating small sonic...
