So true.

Anybody got some jp80x0 patches to share? I'd love to have a dump of people's banks to load into mine. How would you go about doing that? I've never tried to upload or download patches before. plug the synth into your computer, use a MIDI sysex capture program (sysex explorer on mac, midi-OX on Pee...

Sorry - what do you mean by this? Seems I remember plugging a sustain pedal into mine. Am I being dense?

That's cool. Some people hate them while others love them. The prior group helps keep the price down for those of us who think they're pretty darned cool. :)

Between a JD-990 and D-550, I like the JD-990 a LOT more. However, sometimes I go to the D-550 for those gritty bright sounds that I just find easier to get out of the D-550. As cheap as they both are, no reason not to get them both. But I do agree with the previous posters - the JD-990 is MUCH more...

I can't say if Korg approves of this or disapproves of it, but... LC software is tied to an account on the korguser web site, which is tied to an email address. If you want to sell the software / controller, create an email account on a free email service, login to the korg user web site and update ...

i've been pretty unimpressed with the MS-20 emulation, but the Wavestation is perhaps the best softsynth my ears have ever heard. I'll second that. My first time playing around with the Wavestation emulation is an evening I'll never forget. I couldn't believe I let it sit on the shelf that long. No...

My synth gear is all %100. My Pinbot Pinball machine, on the other hand, needs new power capacitors. It reboots occasionally when the action gets heavy.

This may be repetitive, but I'll offer $0.02 from someone who hasn't yet taken the time to really understand the AN1x. I got a JP-8000 a couple years ago and every single time I sit down to fiddle with it, it's "happy happy joy joy" to my ears with many of the presets, free patch bundles I've found ...

I want one too, but I already have a XV-5080 and a D-550, so I am a little hesitant. Can someone explain to me the essential difference between the JD-990 and the D-550? The D50 /550 structure is a bit different ,the filter on them is crappy a bit as for the effects that doesn't sound fantastic ,ba...

Ok, sounds like we have a good list of the well-engineered music. Can anyone come up with a good list of the worst-engineered LP's? I vote for:

Most anything early Jefferson Airplane. Ugh... Absolutely horrible.

I agree 100%. No soft synth is worth more than $50. I don't care how you use it or how it sounds, it's still just a f**k cd.
Obviously written by someone who knows nothing about software development.

Read the reviews on the Canon EOS 5D camera. Many of them aren't camera reviews. They are ebay scam warnings. The gist is: if you're buying a big ticket item on ebay, KNOW who you are dealing with. Some scammers spend years building up good feedback on piddly c**p, then open up a plethora of high-ti...

MINT! Yea, right.

I very politely indicated that this item appeared to be less than mint, judging from the photos, and got a very rude response. Perhaps he needs a few more hints?
