Yep. I was in contact with them by thursday, picked up on Sat. :D Its crazy... I still can hardly believe it happened- I usually have horrid luck. Maybe the universe just was doing some checks and balances. 8) Once I get around to doing some maintainance, refinish a bit, and add 3 or 4 modules to ma...

Here are a few classic Prophet 5 records: Soft Cell - Say hello, wave goodbye Softcell - Bedsitter There ain't no Prophet 5 on those tracks, just Synclavier II, Korg Synthe-bass (bass lines) and bits of Serge modular. Dave Ball first used the P-5 on "The Art Of Falling Apart". Micke owned :) :D :P

I love your stuff. Definitely some of my favorite internet found music so far (not that I've looked that hard :P ). And I'm not much for hip hop most of the time.

Heh. Yeah. I've definitely been looking over my shoulder more often than normal. Who knows... maybe I'll get hit by lightning and my family will take it to the dump once I'm gone. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. I'll probably have to lock it up somewhere when I go off to uni. :)

Iv'e pulled the VCF out and seeing which IC's and caps I should replace (might even just be a connection that needs to be resoldered. What I'm thinking I might do, is pull each module out one by one and give it a nice tune up. There are a lot of trimpots that I'm guessing need to get calibrated with...

No, what I was saying is that the only filter I have on hand is a noisy 12db thing. :D His (well I guess mine now) is a state variable 24db, with 2 signal paths (1 input, but I can simultaneously run it through 2 different filter slopes, each with their own output). Very cool. Unfortunately, the sig...

Yeah, he said of all the modules he built, the Bode was the one he spent the most time designing and troubleshooting. I took a look at its back, and it consists of 4 layers of PCB. 8) It makes some pretty cool timbres, but I haven't gotten around to fixing the filter module yet, so most of the sound...

Proco RATs are pretty highly regarded for general distortion. metal zone seems to be popular for those that like to mangle, but I wouldn't recommend it for acid. What I'd recommend is that you go to a general music store like guitar center and ask if you can hook your 777 up to one of those big peda...

I know practically nothing about moog service, but 70's CMOS IC's in general start to go bad after around 15 years. I think they used a kind of iffy process. You might consider socketing any of them you see and replacing them with modern counterparts.
