Re: Ambient w/ Strymon BIG SKY reverb + Novation SN2 synthes

Beautiful. Although I always wish these 10 minute drone pieces were 3 minute songs with structure, more instruments and drums, but that's obviously not what you dig and it's just a personal preference. It reminds me of Hammock's pads which generally coincide with huge ambient guitar sounds. Thanks f...

Re: DX11/Microkorg noise pop stuff

I think that bass sound is great! It gets lost, and the mix becomes very muddy though, with the addition of those other parts at 00.47. That's where the EQ or frequency separation would have helped. If the muddiness is a creative decision though, who's to argue with that. I like the little delayed a...

Re: DX11/Microkorg noise pop stuff

The volume level of the drums is quite low, so I increased my headphones volume, and the saw part almost blew my ears off when introduced. The fact that it isn't aligned to the first beat, and comes in off time, didn't do much for my nerves either. The timing of the keyboard playing is an issue thro...

Sorry to only highlight the negative by the way, i didnt have time to flesh out my comments. Its a really enjoyable performance otherwise, I've watched it a few times now. Keep it up!

Re: My take on Equinoxe IV ;-) (analog, almost live ;-) )

Could you please elaborate on it? I'm aware of some missed notes in the "arpeggiator" part, and there is obvious error that was pointed out to me by one of the listeners - staccato "lead" in D-minor chorus should be played in triplets, and I played it with combination of sixteenth- and dotted eight...

Re: A couple of tracks

The second is interesting, are certain sounds supposed to be played in the wrong key?

Re: ALPHAVOYAGER - Eclipse

That is an unbelievable track. Played it a few times now. The only part I didn't like was the choir pad thing around 1.10, felt like a bit if a cliche, something dirtier or more processed would have worked better. This is only personal preference though, technically and in terms of mix and everythin...

Re: Little Bird

I keep coming back to this. It's the chords that get me. I like the dark element, but the changes to the major chords is where it's at it's most sad and powerful. I love songs that have that doomed sense but lift into more hopeful sadness with a major chord change. I don't like fully doomed!

Re: Little Bird

Absolutely amazing all round. I feel the track could benefit from even more melody, there's no real lead part or hook. Lovely stuff though

Yeah I tend to think the container shift enhances it if anything. I don't think the viewer perceives a mistake there. Adds bit more life or maybe a sense of realism or something :)

Re: The wrong side of yesterday: MIDERA

F-ck. How long were the intervals of the shots? Surely you've changed the colour to blue in post? Got to love how that bastard sways back and fourth too. Music video in the making, different angles and such, close ups, plenty of sunlight glitching! Time consuming but a worthy project nonetheless....
