xibalba; If the 404 is out of the question, at least consider the 303. My 2 cents... ;) yea i think the 404 is out due to price and probably the same for the 303 because all i need is just a super cheap portable sampler, im even thinking about nixing the idea for the 202 because everyone says the c...

personally i wouldn't bother with a 202, they can hold what, a 4meg smart media card that are apparently really rare? Spring the extra cabbage on an sp-404, can hold upto 1 gig compact flash, runs on batteries, has an inbuilt mic and 25 or so effects, some of which are awesome. And as far as I know...

Re: Scored a Korg MicroX

Picked up the white version from GC the other day for $299. Really impressive sound set and the librarian/editor seems to work on the Macbook Pro- intel mac (SOS's review from '06 stated that it didn't). I've been craving a ROMpler for a while now and this should fit the bill nicely. The drum kits ...

How about serial numbers? Mine is 000971. I'm curious because it might give us an idea of how many have been made so far, assuming of course they have any direct connection to production and aren't just generic number stickers randomly assigned. ill check out my serial number when i get home (altho...

Boss SP-202

Ive been looking for a battery powered sampler (i would spring for an mpc 500 but its more than i want to spend) as i just want something to carry with me and sample into it (either by built in mic or line inputs which the boss has) dont really care about audio quality. But i read on the main page o...

I think the whole line of ModFx pedals, cheap (usually) but always jam packed full of different features.

Fave multi efx - alesis ineko like i stated in the review section if this had all four arrows to scroll through efx it would be the god of efx and its usually hella cheap too!

I did find a website that compared the S950 the MPC 2000xl and the SP-1200. What they did was sample 6 or 7 drum breaks into each machine to see the difference between the three machines the S950 and 2000xl werent noticably different (which actually kept me from getting an S950) but there was a hug...

you may also consider a Machinedrum + a S950. 12bit lovins for cheap! i cant comment on the above if you processed samples into the S950 then in the machinedrum. Re: Question for Elektron MDUW MkII owners

I am looking for opinions on the updated Machinedrums. I had a Mk I and loved the interface and sequencer, but couldnt justify owning it because it didn't do everything i wanted, ie sample, and sound warm (or not so digital).. i imagine having the UW machines makes a difference, but what i really w...

as for me ill probably go the RE-20 pedal route its not "stupid super hip-hop cool" but it will do :D Sure it will...and I bet alot of hip-hop types use stuff that doesn't sound nearly as good. It's just not what I want. I can do clean delays anywhere...but space echo stuff is hard to emulate. Plus...
