Re: Depeche Mode Blasphemous Rumours Pad Sound

in the 2:48 solo it sounds layered with another similiar sound with more attack. Or is the pad part of the sound a result of lots of effects?

Re: New Future Retro product coming.

I want a 4 channel CV sequencer with knobs and a built in bypassable quantizer. Keep the buttons for selecting gates, accents etc...........and a couple clock outputs with division options. Plus, the ability so the four 16 step channels can be chained to create two 32 step channels or one 64 step ch...

Re: what part "plays" serependity or chance in your music ?

I start with a concept for a patch and when I get there it never sounds exactly how I invisioned (usually better). The joy of complex analog synths and modulars is that even if you document your patches when you go back to recreate them they never come back exactly the same. So I just dont document ...

Re: Roland TB-303/TR-606 alternatives

"dad's old ARP synths and my uncle's Minimoog is worth far more to me than"............a 606 and a 303! Seriously, with the kind of money these are worth you could buy some synths which no offense to any for saying this but are "useful and capable".

Re: Korg Poly 800 charging??

Get a cheap midi routing box. Keep the Poly 800 on its own port and do what ever with the others.

Re: Gear used in Giorgio Moroder's From Here to Eternity

Drum machine = Keith Forsey ; )
Synths = Moog Modular
Sequencer = Roland MC4
and if you can recognize the vocoder in this video but I am not sure.

There is a track on that album that gives thanks to all people and equipment used on the album.

Korg Poly800 not triggering oscillators.

Can this synth be reinitialized? I sent it a midi reset message from my computer and the Oscillators disappeared. The noise source still works and all the modulation and envelopes still work. This is very wierd. I have had all my digitally controlled synths with analog filters go wacky b/c of midi r...
