Re: Ensoniq SQ-80 gone mad

Thanks for the links and intializing info. I dont mind goind back to the presets, I dumped the Tomita preset one day on accident and have missed it ever since. As for heat problems with the power supply, I have always made sure to turn of the SQ-80 after about a half hour of use to let it cool down....

Ensoniq SQ-80 gone mad

After about ten minutes of being on it starts throwing random notes (plays random notes and some go dead temporarily), then tries to self collaberate itself. I didnt realize till now b/c this used to take about 30 mins to start happening and I thought it was a midi default (I think trying to control...

Roland JX3P/PG200 connection cable?

What is the cable that connects these two together? It appears to be some kind of DIN cable. Specifics would be nice.
Thanks

From what I have noticed. The R3 and the Microkorg sound very similiar in character. MicroKorg being a little "dirtier" sounding. I prefer the R3 Vocoder over the microKorg, now this could be due to the factory microphones they each come with. Alike the MicroKorg, I am guessing the R3 has the 8 band...

The 101 sequencer is my main outlet for writting music. Something about the way you program it, I just love it. Now I have heard you can edit glide into specific notes like a 303, but I have been using this sequencer for a long time and never heard it do this. If portamento is on, well, portamento i...

I dont know if this has anything to do with my .com being "moog like" but it seemed easy for me to call out the MiniMoog b/c it sounded the most like my .com Oscillators.

The suggestion of the Synthesizers.com Entry system is a great idea for someone getting into modular synthesis. When you can only afford one module for $120 a month you have a whole month to learn what that one module does, then a whole month to learn how it interacts with your next module and so on...

MPC drum synthesizer rack? saw at pawn shop, NOT AKAI

There is an MPC drum synthesizer rack sound module at a local pawnshop. Anyone know what this is. It recieves midi and triggers. There are actually 3 in a rack for 200 dollars. 2 are the same, 1 was a little different. Look very basic, most likely analog tone generation. They are red and grey. What ...

non-resonant means that at a high resonance (Q) the filter will not self oscillate and produce a pure sine wave. High resonant filters have a certain character ex. minimoog, tb-303, SCI prophet (x). Your Juno-106 has a pretty resonant filter. Play with its settings high on the resonance and low on t...
