Also, if anyone has a Prophet 2002 (or even a prophet 2000) and would like to help out, then I would appreciate it greatly if someone would take some pictures of the inside for me. Specifically the board that is attached to the lid you opened to get inside around the same area that I took a picture ...

^^^^ Yes, I don't quite understand why they are there. I took the boards out and I don't see any traces running to or from these things and it looks like someone just set them in a pile of solder on the pcb. By the way, does anyone have any schematics for this or a service manual? I know that you ca...

Sum mixes modulation signals.

Flip-Flop switches from a 0 to a 1.

Diode only passes positive values.

DC is kind of used to set switch points (from what I gather).

All of this can be found around pg. 263 of the E4 OS manual. Just download a copy and you'll be set.

Tr-808 Clap Reverb & Prophet 2002 Help

Hello, I posted my 808 problem on AH, but thought I would try here in case someone looks here that may have had this problem before. Tonight when I went to use my 808, I noticed that the clap and snare sounded a little funny, sort of crunchier than before. So I muted everything else and noticed that...

No, the power supply needed calibrated and then when I went to tune it finally, VR104 shorted out and it needs to be replaced. I suspect that this was the problem all along. It could have been the power supply though, but after a high pitched squeal was made by the oscillator while turning it (gentl...

I've even tried to find a place (locally) that will service it, but have had no luck. Even if I found a place I'm afraid that I will be charged too much for them to do what I am already doing (turning trimpots). I'm willing to paypal someone $25 for information that helps me scale the oscillator. I ...

I've spent more time at this to no success. Everything seems to function, with respect to the keyboard, I just can't scale oscillator 1. In fact the other oscillators are perfectly scaled, but this is pissing me off because this really shouldn't be an issue. I can't figure out how to "test the offse...

Even if someone could please confirm that I am following the correct tuning procedure I would be very grateful.

I also need to know how to "test the lead wire from KLM 398" to test the offest voltage, but I will take any and all advice.

Thanks.

After literally hours of trying to do this, I've come to the conclusion that I can proceed no further without some sort of help/advice. I have been following this procedure and have had NO luck scaling the oscillator. First I tune A#4(Highest A#) with VR 102 at 16' to be exact (0 cents off). Then I ...

I've figured out that the reason I seem to be having a hard time figuring out what everyone is talking about with respect to the chart is that my pcb is not labeled. The trimpots are there and I can see the holes, but there is no indication of what they are. I am also unsure of how to test the offse...

I don't really understand HOW to scale the oscillators. I understand that I need to check the value with a voltmeter, but after I find out it is wrong, then how do I correct this? I assume a trimpot, but I don't know where it is.

I've only ever used a 2000xl,a 60, and a 3000 (which I own now) and of all of them, I believe the 3000 is the best sequencer. I really liked the sound of the 60 more (because that is what I was into), but the 3000 is a better machine (filters, delay, 32mb sample memory, SCSI, etc). If you like the s...

sh-101 volume pot

Hello, I had a bit of an accident and stepped on my volume knob on my 101. I have been searching almost everywhere, but have not been able to locate anyone who sells the correct size pot. It is single-ganged, 100k, logarithmic. None of the radio shacks have the correct size and I can't find one on e...
