Re: MMT8 OR ATARI CUBASE
MMT8 doesn't have to quantize. It doesn't quantize until you tell it, I think. I think you might even be able to shift notes by midi ticks if you set it up that way. I'm not 100% sure. An Atari ST would be a way more featured sequencer and have more sequencer memory. It's easy to run out on the MMT8...

Re: Juno 106 acting funny when sequenced by an MPC 2000XL
Yeah, I used to have a 106 connected both midi in and out to an mpc 2000xl and it acted weird. It doesn't respond well to midi feedback. I think I just started to use another keyboard as a controller and it worked fine.

Monitor splitter / attenuator?
Hi, I am looking for the cheapest possbile, non sound degrading way to split the master output of my mixer send 1 set to my computer inputs and the other to my monitors. I was trying to look up devices that do this but they all have a lot of features and I'm hoping somebody out there has a similar s...

Re: How is the MFB Synth II fairing these days?
I think hard to find is a big part.
I had one for awhile. I think I sold it to pay for a 202. I didn't know how to program a rest on the sequencer. Found out later, but it was too late. Very good sounding synth. I wish I could get another for like $350. Just doesn't seem likely.

Had it bookmarked from when I was calibrating one.

Re: jd-800 slider noise / interference
In case anybody comes looking with the same problem, I fixed it. I just opened it up and some cables that come from the front panel with the buttons and sliders were laying on the jack board where the DAC is and bleeding into the audio. I just moved them to the other side and the noise is gone.

jd-800 slider noise / interference
Hi, Turned on my JD-800 today and noticed it was making a "ticking" sound while on. Seems to be periodic. Then when I move a slider, you can hear some digital noise that sounds like the ticking. Trying to look and see if anyone's ever had this problem before. Hoping it's something I can figure out. ...

Re: Oberheim Xpander Pitch bend range???
One way you can do it is the mod page on the oscillators. Looks like you have to use two to get an octave. One at 63, one at 58 (pg 50 manual). It's pretty cool, you use mod spaces, but you could have different bend amounts on different oscillators which could be interesting. Makes me miss my xpander.

Re: EMU SP-12 turbo freaking out, self-resetting
If it takes 30 min to start acting weird, it might have to do with it heating up. Maybe there is a weak solder joint somewhere on it.

Re: EMU SP-12 turbo freaking out, self-resetting
Yeah, it does weird stuff when the battery dies. I remember my tempo being weird. I ordered one, but I think I would just put a clip and a 2032 or whatever in it. I don't think it tries to charge the battery.

Re: Roland JD800
Does anyone reading this know a part number for the 'soft' switch' (bank/number/patch layer/etc) on the jd-800? A copy of mine need pressed hard.
I saw something once that showed them looking like 12mm with rubber piece or something like that.

Re: Keyboard bushings
Here's another site I just found. They are cheaper 0.374. I would call a place before placing such a large order, you can probably get a much better deal.

Does a mod like this exist? The lfo retrigger was one of my least favorite things about the ax80.

Re: Dust on synths: how do you deal with it ?
Yeah, just buy a paintbrush for a few dollars. and brush them when you need to. You can get around the knobs & etc. I got the idea when a friend showed me a video where DJ Funk was cleaning his mixer.
