It shouldn't take more than like a blink of the cursor to change tracks, probably faster.
Yeah, my friend at the studio has weird problems with sounds some times. He is unsure if it's the disk or the memory going bad.

Re: mpc 3000
I don't think mine was like that. Mine acted strange a few times when it would get hot from being on all day. I always meant to recap the power supply, but never got around to it.

Re: When will we see a new (non-DSI) analog poly?
an analog poly? not from Novation. Korg , maybe... 'in the next few years'... but that's a long time in the synth world. A simpler but bigger synth from Elektron? would go contrary to their knob-tweaky- 'parameter lock' UI thing. I would put my money on either Korg or Novation, or both, within the ...

Re: 8x8 MIDI patchbay with input merge?
kmx 16 or kmx 8. KMX-16 definitely has 15 ins, 16 outs, 2 inputs merge. Like $100-150 on ebay.

Re: Juno 6 LFO trig button
Cool glad it worked. They just kind of wear down over time or use or something. The nice thing about it is that it can be fixed indefinitely instead of needing a new one.

Re: Juno 6 LFO trig button
Hi, the switch is probably worn out; it's not an uncommon problem with these switches. The MC-4 uses ones that are either the same or pretty similar. Basically there is a rubber surface inside it that is covered with conductive substance. Pressing the button presses the conductive surface down on tw...

Re: MKS-50 Voice Chip Popping
Thanks. I eventually tried that, but I tested the cap out of the circuit and it was good. I just decided to desolder the chip on the problem voice and a chip of a good voice, put in sockets and swapped them. The problem changed voices with the chip so it's the chip. Bummer because it's a $50 part, b...

MKS-50 Voice Chip Popping
I posted this on the mks yahoo group, but I just joined there and I'm not sure how active it is. Maybe I'll get lucky and somebody here knows about this problem. I just got an mks-50 (rack alpha juno) and everything works fine, but it makes a really loud 'pop' with certain settings only on voice 3. ...

Re: Phantom power: what would happen if...
I accidentally did this with my xpander once when I had it. It really freaked it out. It wouldn't tune right and it sounded and acted really weird. It took me forever to figure out what was going on because I thought it was dying or something until I switched to another mixer channel. So I would try...

ax80 waveform
Hi, not much info out there. Sorry if I've asked this question before. But I have a problem that I think my ax80 is out of adjustment. The waveforms don't sound or look right. It didn't bother me so much but now I would like to have a real square wave on it. I was hoping someone knew which trimmers ...

Re: Conundrum, sell my TT X0x or perservere
I had one that I was told couldn't be upgraded. I bought a replacement cpu for 40 euro or so that is larger to use sokkos 2. It's called x0xlarge.

I like 2 better. Just didn't really like the bass patch you used in the other one. Good job. This is one of my favorite Carpenter movies/themes.

Re: A&H Mix Wizard 14 4 2 mixer question
Cool thanks. I figured it was more for live use. I like the mixer, but the send/return loop is the one thing I miss from my mackie 24-8. I have to open it up sometime and fix my 2 track send so I can have a 'control room' knob for my monitors.

Re: A&H Mix Wizard 14 4 2 mixer question
I have read the manual; I don't understand it. I'm saying I patch send 1 to a reverb, and from the reverb to return 1. The overall send volume is set at unity. In the return section there are 2 options for return 1; a knob to send it to LR and a knob to send the summed return back to send 1. I under...

A&H Mix Wizard 14 4 2 mixer question
I know it's not a synth, but maybe someone has one of these. I have an older Allen & Heath mix wizard, that's 14 channels and 4 busses. The thing I don't understand about it is the relationship between the sends and returns. When try to use them for effects (send 1 -> reverb / reverb -> Stereo retur...
