Re: Roland SH-32 Vs. Novation Nova - Which one do you prefer
I have a SH32 and KS-5. I think they are kind of opposites for VA flavors. I actually find the SH32 very pop and dance oriented. I find the Novation products like this too, but in a different way. I think the Novation is better suited for spacey trance and the like. This is all based on tone alone. ...

In the intro vid he says he thinks the Mopho keys 'runs' circles around the Pro One'... Interesting. Definitely will be a fun keyboard though.

Re: Would you buy a PPG Wave if you had the opportunity for
The only reason I wouldn't would be because I have Sunsyn and Waldorf Microwave 1 to cover that ground. If I didn't have these, then it could be a different story. To me, it seems like wavetable synths are kind of the underground of synths. Only the MW XT seems to have a following behind it. I know ...

Interesting, Mr. Kikumoto said that he wasn't completely satisfied about the 808. Then I'm not the only one
Nice triptych, pretty funny.

Maybe I'm thinking of the Kraftzwerg, but I thought it also had a midi lag on it. I'm wondering why SA didn't just do the mods themselves (minus the ins and outs to still keep cost down). But a pretty flexible synth I think.

Ok, I thought I was flipping out. I remember finding out the BS is DCO based too.

Re: Voyager /andromeda dilema..
This is such a personal preference taste thing, that it is very hard to receive advice on whether you should trade it. I would love both, but the only way I would trade one for the other is if I felt I am free to let synth A go so I can try synth B or if the direction of my music is more suitable no...

Re: Any reason I shouldn't buy a Prophet VS? Alternatives?
I have many sound clips of this machine. Very nice sounding (except for the crappy convertors I had used to record this). You can check them out here, it will give you a good taste of it: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=446680&content=music Hit me up if you are looking to sell you...

Re: Spectral Audio Neptune II
Seems more like an aggro techy Moog like synth. Sounds pretty good and is a great price. I wouldn't hesitate on it. I think there was some sort of a midi issue, but I believe it was addressed or there is a tweak to it you can get it to work better. Do a search on this synth, I think it was discussed...

I'm about to buy this. Anyone have any opinions on the basses it has? It is a big library, but the sound quality seems to be there. I already have Omnisphere and it looks like it's a good pair. I was quite impressed with the Metasonix basses and noises. I remember when it first came out there was on...

Looks like a lot of fun, and the cost is less, but I'm wondering why would one not get a hardware unit instead. They're most fun tweaking randomly. I hope this also has knob recording. Still if I had an iPad I'd get it.

Re: The New Tom Oberheim SEM Thread
Those clips are great, much thanks for posting those! I'm pretty sure after buying my share of boutique synths, my next synth will be a Moog or the SEM CV. Just wish the SEM was available without the wait.

I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same. Seriously want one of the white bodied ones. Not sure which one to get for my first.

Re: KULTEN IS BACK ! (SYB-3 fans welcome)
BSY is pretty dang cheap. I wonder how they compare. Usually they all have their own character. I had the Korg synth bass pedal, forgot the name, but it was pretty cool for vowelly sounds.
